Well, we have to milk that game. Sengun himself indicated that as Wemby gets stronger the table will turn.
Can you imagine if Rockets had a healthy Tari Eason with Amen Thompson AND Herb Jones? A very strong defensive trio.
If Wemby gets stronger. I think he may get a little stronger, but if he puts on too much weight his feet become a real problem injury wise. I believe he will always be a good player and good defensive player, but he will not be a superstar at center unless he gambles with his body. He can still be a superstar help defender in the paint, perimeter defensive player, and superstar offensive player if he develops a 3 pt shot.
Rockets fans would have even less patience with a fat lazy injury prone player than they did with the two you mentioned.
It looks like he's lost considerable amount of weight. Maybe he's figured out that his diet has to be pro-level cuisine versus the bad crap he's probably been eating. Happy for the young man if he's got his life on right track.
Zion is the difference between an annual play-in team and a contender for the title. Must have a superstar and the Rockets currently have 0 all-stars.
Dude. So are you saying that none of the rockets players will never make an all star game? That’s quite a take! If you’re not saying that then are you saying trade away the young players for a current all star before they make a team? If not then what are you saying? Most here are well aware that none of the young guys have yet to make it. For those that don’t though I guess thanks for the info!!
Obviously. Sengun's been the GOAT since he came into the league, best big man of all time. He only struggled to score 15 a game his first 2 years because he was being kind to the rest of the league and letting them have a brief moment outside his shadow.
What made you think that was sarcasm? I've fallen in line with the SOF's and adjusted my expectations to theirs.
His contract structure has injury and weight clauses that reset every year, so he has to keep it together to have his contract guaranteed each season.
WOW, that looks great for the team. He knows what he’s producing or he’s not getting all his money. For him to sign such an incentivized contract shows his awareness of his own potential but also his willingness actually achieve it. Drawing attention to his lack success vs what it could be. This reminds of one of our own players and I very much appreciate the concept. It is his contract year after all. The team only pays according to realities. Commission in many ways. What does the cap look like for this type of deal. (the minimum amount or the maximum amount or the mean). It reminds of the NeNe / DM deal that the league turned down years back. Every player in the league should get paid like this.
