Demeco said Cade is another guy that he forgets he is a rookie because of how consistent he is.:

In the next 11 days, the cuts get real. While these might not be exact numbers they are close.

    90 players in training camp.

53 will make the active squad.

10 will be signed to Practice/Futures Reserve. Some from our camp and perhaps some from other camps.

? will make an IR list which doesn't count against the 53.

I don't know whether Autry or other suspended players can be replaced on the 53 until they are eligible again.

There will be some good players which will be cut and perhaps a few who will be picked up off other team's cuts. But the net will not be as good as in the past because of our depth in camp.

I suspect most players are already loosely grouped into categories already with adjustments being made for injury or good or bad play.

My hope is we can trade some who would be picked up rather than just loose them for nothing. Future picks have value here and trades, rather than taking a chance on a FA signing do too. SO these are not as unrealistic as you might initially think based on the expectation they will be cut.

This makes me really nervous, especially after Demico said he was one of the best he has ever coached and our depth is suspect..............fingers crossed

According to John & Lance, suspended players (Autry) do not count against the cap.

I said cap but I meant 53 man roster.

    Both are true though.

People are under estimating Cade Stover. The coach is giving raving reviews. Cade put on an absolute clinic in blocking against the Steelers defense. Multiple perfect reps where he was able to have the correct footwork to block in the second level. He even had a rep where he doubled the DT(wham block) and proceeded to the second level to leverage a LB out of the hole. He is going to be a factor this year as Dalton is someone who has struggled to block quite frankly. If Cade is the better run blocker he will get more 1st and 2nd down reps later in the year. Partner that Cade has the relationship with CJ and its something to watch this season.

Here is something I was interested in. Nothing gets me more excited than TE's that can block. It is huge in the Run/PA game

    Look at these splits:

    Player 1 Player 2

    Height 6'4 Height 6'4
    Weight 255 Weight 247
Arm Length 33.75 Arm Length 32.75
    40 Time 4.63 Official 40 Time 4.65 Official
    Vertical: 35 Vertical: 34.5
    10 yard split: 1.61 10 yard split: 1.59

He really is an interesting prospect as his blocking is a huge factor just like Player 1: Travis Kelce.

    The measurables are there certainly.

I think he is a sure bet, to be a breakout player for us this year.

He has got 3 weeks to get right. Plenty of time.

I imagine he would be playing had it been a game.

He was playing last year while wearing a boot during the week.

Yes he was playing, however it was 5-10 snaps only..he was great still but we need the big guy to wreak havoc the whole game!!

I see where the practice squad is now up to 17 players. But getting them through waivers might be tough this year.

Mills would be down. A similar system where he feels comfortable and an opportunity to start again. It's like Texans North up there. Ca$hMan. Greenard. Shaquille.

    I wouldn't do the trade unless it's for a 2nd and a 3rd rounder.

Would be dumb to trade Mills. He’s looked great, this team needs a strong back up. Don’t think Keenum is that anymore

I'd like to see Keenum transition to coaching at this point. Get into the Coaching Train since moving up is almost a certainty. I think a younger QB with skills may be available at the cut as some will prefer the veterans.
