Tied for 18th all time with Frank Thomas at .974 for his career. Only Judge and Trout have a higher OPS amongst active players. Better than Soto and Ohtani.
At this point in the season, there is no more luck in the grand scheme of things. You're good or you're not.
Dezenzo probably way way too early to come to any conclusions. I'm just happy to see we get to find out. Agreed on Brown and Arrighetti, that is tremendous moving forward. What a flip of the switch for Whitcomb.
My guess is 2 more rehab starts (hopefully only 1). So sometime next week, either early or the back end of the weekend.
Luck can happen at any point in a season. Seattle struck twice with it within this past week. The division race could come down to a game or two.
I think only 1 more rehab start. If it goes well today after outing yesterday. Friday starts 18 games in 18 days and they want a 6 man rotation for that. He’s probably pitching next against Boston in MMP next Tuesday or Wednesday.
I can’t imagine that Kenny Powers look alike is an answer to anything important. As they 8th dude in the bullpen? Sure, whatever.
I'm guessing they don't want him sitting on the bench behind Chas/Jake/Leon/Dubon just yet. I have no idea what the Stros think about him other than "his future is in the OF" Haven't looked at the 40-man to see what needs to be done when certain player comes back or other certain players need to be called up...I know they can jettison Aledmys. 20 days to find out.
Had the Astros started the season just 19-17, we would have the best record in baseball by pct points. Consider that.
I imagine he will be on a pitch count limit if just one more rehab start... but rather have him up in the bigs as much as possibl
Bullpens across baseball are in shambles… King is doing exactly what they need from him and hopefully it is pure luxury!
