Sugar is the absolute worst. This country is addicted to sugar drinks at every meal and it's making everyone fat.
Watched the vid a few times. Wonder if he's trying to limit that awkward scissor kick thing he's used to doing (the McGrady) and trying to go into a more set motion. Should help get his %'s up.
Yeah I don't eat any sugar, I'm just 40 years old it's not as simple as "cut sugar and you'll be skinny" lmao.
Im not feeling this awkward hezi freeze. That's something Jabari does that we need to get rid of, it's called deer in the headlights
Probably akin to working out your negatives like going down slowly on a squat or going down really slowly on a pull up. Probably engaging the core
Jalen Green is the player on the squad you should be least concerned about this stuff. He is the most fluid off the dribble perimeter scorer by a wide margin on this roster: Are you really worried about his " "awkward" freeze? This is basic training. It's at the end of a training session and they are telling him to overload his core muscles hence the pause. It's very obvious it isn't a part of his actual off the dribble shot form in a real game. Part of this training he is doing is trying to correct a common issue he has of trying to fade or drift on his off the dribble attempts. He's trying to strengthen the base of his shot. I wish we saw videos of him working out of the triple threat position and getting good shots off from there which guys like Booker do all the time.
He isn't going to do those pauses in game. There is the hesi dribble which he does sometimes but this isn't a hesi dribble. This is just him working out his core. No one is going to tell him to dip low and stay at that position for an unnecessary extra second and then launch in a game. That's obviously his trainers telling him to load up on the core when dipping down for the shot to stress it to fatigue.
Jalen Green is working out with PG13’s trainer. He talked about it on Podcast P. He said he wanted to work on his “slow down” game.
All we need from him this summer is to work on his 3PTer and keep putting on muscle. We don't need any more fancy 3PA's. I'm happy for him to just work on his up and down standstill set 3PT shot (no dribbling). Has to keep cleaning up those mechanics and simplify his movements. When it comes to shot selection, he has to adjust the proportions and Udoka has to make sure he has the right personnel on the floor with Jalen. More drives, assists and FT's Way fewer midrange shots Same or slightly fewer 3's His shot selection was vastly improved in the last 30 games of last season and I expect that trend to continue. He just had the first serious coaching of his entire life. He'll digest it and know what to work on this summer in order to earn the contract he wants. People say Jalen's issue is consistency but it's not. I don't care how consistent he is at these percentages. What we're not happy with is the overall efficiency. I bet he'd agree too. Jalen's issue is only shot selection and some gradual work needed on his jumper. We need a big step up in overall efficiency from him but a lot of that can be achieved by selecting smarter shots. I think that's coming via more drives and smarter shot selection. I think the passing and defense will be better than last season. We're in for a great season from him - thanks in large part to Udoka too.
Oof... that's a bit better than the slam dunk trainers he previously had. He needs Tyrese Maxeys trainer, he teaches read and react the defense when attacking a crowded paint.
If Jalen can improve on his shot we will have a franchise player. With his driving ability he will be unguardable. 50 wins, too.
