Kamala Harris is more trusted than Donald Trump on the US economy More Americans trust Kamala Harris to handle the US economy than Donald Trump, according to a new poll that marks a sharp change in voter sentiment following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the White House race. The survey, conducted for the Financial Times and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, is the first monthly poll to show the Democratic presidential candidate leading Trump on the economy since it began tracking voter sentiment on the issue nearly a year ago.
“Stealing” policy proposals? That is silly, Trump didn’t come up with that proposal, it has been around for decades and proposed by the restaurant workers lobby.
The idea of not taxing tips is wrong for both Harris and Trump. 1. As it currently stands many people that earn their tips money will pay little to no taxes because of income. 2. If tips weren't taxed, hedge fund managers, investment bankers, and other people making tens of millions of dollars could just restructure their fees to a tip based option and then not pay taxes on their income. That is the real issue.
Here is an idea, RAISE the minimum wage to $25, eliminate tipping all together - make restaurants and bars pay a living wage. And yep, prices will go up - but with tip we are already paying that. DD
Another poll is showing a shift toward Harris on the economy. Trump does not stand a chance if Harris ends up winning on the economy. Kamala Harris Erodes Trust in Donald Trump's Economy Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic electoral frontrunner, might be flipping the tables when it comes to voters' trust in former President Donald Trump's economic policies. While Trump has routinely called into question President Joe Biden's economic stances, Harris has gained ground on the economy the few weeks since she announced her candidacy. In a Morning Consult poll of nearly 5,000 registered voters, Harris now leads over Trump when it comes to who would better handle housing. Harris also shrunk the gap with Trump on overall handling of the economy, unemployment, taxes and interest rates. "Many Americans are looking for a fresh face with new ideas. And Harris is tapping into that," Michael Ryan, a finance expert and the founder of michaelryanmoney.com, told Newsweek. "In working with clients, I've seen how people feel when they're fed up with their financial situation. They don't just want minor tweaks. They want a whole new approach. That's what I'm seeing when looking at the polling data on Harris."
It really is - but it will resonate with some voters that are not really in politics. Trump is used to being able to just throw a bunch of these false promises out there and benefit from them. Now he is facing someone that is willing to do the same and he doesn’t know how to handle it….,hearing him complain that his policy is being stolen is hilarious and shows how little self awareness he has.
That USED to be the case, but with most people not using cash, and tipping on cards which is automatically tracked, that has changed. DD
While some posters laugh at the idea that the election could be stolen, The MAGA crowd which was unsuccessful their first attempt, has elected election deniers to positions where they will have a say on whether or not to certify the results this time around.
