Keep an eye on the Royals. Astros would be only 2 games behind the Royals who hold the last WC spot (and only 1 game in the loss column) if the Royals lose tonight. Rangers 6 1/2 games behind us plus the loss of the tie breaker. They are hanging on by a thread.
it's true. just doesn't feel that way because in between those saves, hader was called for a lot of hold situation and he lost quite a few of thems.
Astros screwed up so badly by not avoiding sweeps earlier this year. It's one thing to lose a series, but getting swept sets you back 3x, mathematically. 1-2 = 1 game under 500 ---- 0-3 = 3 games under 500 = 3x the difference
The Mariners are allergic to early starts. Doesn't matter if it's the weekend, getaway day, or whatever. Their ass won't start until ~9pm.

One factor could be globally. During summer time, the closer to the North Pole a location is (Seattle is US closest besides Alaska), the more hours of sunlight you get. But the difference isn't hours between Seattle and, say, San Francisco. Mariners think they are special.
