exactly. this BP is not the 2022 bullpen when they were all nails. every relieve pitchers in that bullpen can blow any games.
Right but why warm him up in the first place? Maybe I'm picking at stupid **** here but it just seemed odd to even warm him with Dubin up. It was as if Espada really hadn't decided until the last minute.....
pressly was already warming up top of the 8th before yainer hit the homerun. it was only 6-3 at the time.
It was a 2 run game when Pressly started warming. He didn’t get Dubin up until after Yainer hit his homer.
It was a 2 run lead. Notvwsrming Pressly would have been malpractice. Dubin didn't start warming until they scored 3 more. But Ryan had already got warm.
Aside from my dumb ass not paying attention to the BP action, great win, 16 hits, offense broke out, go Mets!
This is a good point. Once Pressly is fully warmed up to close, before they scored all the extra runs, he's either gotta pitch or he's basically burned the next day anyway.
Awesome comeback win Blanco wasn't great, but he didn't suck either. The good part is he only had 88 PC -- that's lowest in a month and top 5 lowest of the season. Dude's regression clearly shows he needs fewer pitches, more rest, and a skipped start(s). Yordan has been ripping the past few games. We need that especially without Tucker. Altuve had a huge 2-run jack... perhaps he's un-slumping. Diaz did major work too. Very good game, it was "stat-paddish". Hader even got rare rest during a victory -- and he needed it too after pitching 3 consective days. Astros need every win they can get. . .
Especially in the playoffs. I think he started one game in the entire postseason. He also started like 1 of the last 20 games in the regular season down the stretch and we almost missed the playoffs.
