That was the turning point. I think Davis sold the foul (and it was dangerous! He could've seriously hurt Durant) but that was an uncharacteristic dumb foul by Jokic in that situation. Getting four fouls with that much time left meant that Embiid could go at him in crunch time.

I said it earlier in the thread, but I really do think Jokic is the single best individual basketball player right now. Nobody dictates the flow of a game like he does.

I think international sports (mainly soccer) is full of examples of fanbases hating a particular national team. The 2010 French World Cup team comes to mind. It seemed like all of France wanted them to flame out so that the federation could clean house and that's exactly what happened.

the gold medal game will be fun because of the HCA that France has with their crowd…I’ve enjoyed watching France’s games for that reason alone

I hate Kerr and Curry because their style of play (50 3-pointers per game) and all the other teams adopting it, has made the NBA unwatchable for me. And that's heartbreaking because I've been watching since the late 70's.

But no way am I pulling against them right now.

In a way, the USA team can't win. If they don't win the gold medal, they're a bunch of choking bums. If they do win the gold medal, well....that's what they're supposed to do, so....

Rooting for the underdog mentality is real. Blow out wins are boring.

It's like watching a big bully beating up a smaller kid in school yard. You want the small kid to get up and hit him back... except that the bully is your brother, LOL.

No doubt if Sengun hadn't been frozen out by Nike and Klutch Sports the US would have dominated Serbia by 25 + points.

If team cohesion is the issue with the men's team, why is it not a problem for the women's team? Aren't they put together the same way?

The women's team looks like they've been playing together for 30 years - offensively and defensively.

The talent gap between the US and the world in the women's game is still miles different. Frankly the women's team hasn't played well, they should be eviscerating all their opponents.

Australia is the only country that fields a team that should be remotely competitive.

That Serbia game was probably the ideal scenario for me. I want the US to win but I want them to at least sweat for it. A 50 point blow out would be boring. Let's see some legendary moments. I'm surprised France made it through though. Germany would've been a tougher opponent but I guess they couldn't get it done.

100%, especially with Embiid playing. And while I have no doubt USA wins a series 100% of the time, in a single-elimination game anything can happen, so there's some suspense going into the game at least.

    lol I’m black smh

I hate the politics of the LeAssKisser bought and paid for media. Im againist any all klutch sports affiliates/supporters or athletes

Lebum is inarticulate virtue signaler and he ruined the nba experience for me not because of his game( which in itself is super ugly to watch) but mainly the control he over nba voters which affects players contracts:

lebum Talking about he wanted to take a pay the offszn to help the lakers lol. LeBron is one of the biggest cheapskates in sports, definitely a top 3 worst tipper among all athletes regardless of profession

kerr and the warriors didn’t start that style. The warriors are known for off-ball, motion offense

It was the rockets taking 50 3’s a night and that’s how they revolutionized the game. “Moreyball”

I don’t get the Devin Booker love but umkay. Boy Team USA has what on the Celtics by benching Tatum and not even giving Jaylen Brown a Sniff. While taking Derrick White and Jrue Holiday. This after the Celtics won a chip. Damn
