Have you served in the US military? If you haven't - then perhaps you shouldn't past judgment over whether someone that spent 24 years serving is a veteran or not. I get it - fast and loose is the MAGA way, but when it comes to certain things, like questioning whether someone is a veteran or not, that is probably best left to other former military folks.

Just think of how many veterans there are in this country that served this country, but never were in a hot war. Think of how offensive this is to them. I have about 6 family members off the top of my head that I can think of who were never in a firefight, but you better damn well believe they are proud to have served. No - at some point they will figure out a way to attack Harris and Walz that is effective.... and then it will be a matter of Harris adjusting. Right now MAGA doesn't know what to do. They haven't had to deal with someone like Walz before. With Harris - there has been enough of a shift in how women are viewed, enough Gen X and Millennials that don't just accept misogyny that they haven't figured out or accepted that simply calling a female a w**** or stupid isn't going to work in 2024. The MAGA supporter hasn't changed like a lot of the people around them, so they don't get why calling Harris a stupid w**** isn't working. Also - it is pretty clear to me that a lot of Americans, especially those that don't live and die with politics - are sick of the constant death spiral of negativity that has engulfed politics and the USA. So - when they see Harris or Walz being positive, smiling - it registers in contrast to a nearly 80 year old man and his creepy weasel side kick doing nothing but saying nasty things. What do you call someone who dedicated a majority of his life to the military? Who do you think helps out when disasters strike? Who are the first to get called up? To belittle national guard serviceman saying their work is not worthy of being heroic is downright insulting. People who serve are heroic because they know at time they will answer the call when the country needs them. Doesn’t have to be in a war. **** I hate people who degrade someone because they served yet didn’t do it in an active war. Anyone who serves put their life at possible risk at ANY time. Whether it could be a war, natural disaster or anything in between.

Yeah - wouldn't count on Vance slaying Walz at the debate for the simple reason that Vance is not likeable and Walz is very likeable. If you look at a of public debates, who is remembered at the winner isn't the one that is the more talented natural debater or the one that even necessarily knows the subject matter the best - it is the person that comes across as the sincerest and most likeable - and that isn't Vance. If he were debating another self serving grifter like Josh Shapiro or Cuomo, then he would have a chance.... This is the reason that someone like Ronald Reagan or JFK were able to win debates against more informed and smarter candidates.
