Trump is proposing an arena-sized crowd. That's never been done nor should we want it to be done.

He just wants to make it a circus like his clown rallies, where he stands up saying stupid stuff and they all cheer.

She didn't seem excited by that power at all. Are you fearful of her honesty in regards to the power a DA has?

There is a simple solution - Trump and Kamala can redo the CNN debate with Jake and Dana. Go with the same rules - audio cutoff when it is not your turn, no audience. Trump has said several times that Jake/Dana were very fair, so how could he legitimately complain now if they do a repeat? They purposely did not do any real time fact checking, to the chagrin of those on the left. Plus CNN has gone out of its way lately to do the both sides thing and platform MAGA views. Do one debate in September, that is all we need.

Well, only one network has been sued and had to pay hundreds of millions because they spread the maga lies. fox is not a serious network, its trumps mouth piece...........I say if he is serious pick a neutral place, backing out to what he already agreed to is a cowards way out, he basically had to run home to his comfort zone and wants to have a maga rally masquerading as a debate

They have hosted multiple debates. What was your issue with the debates? They were moderating pretty fairly in my opinion.

They did. They were fair to even exemplary in their previous hosting duties. Those hosts are no longer with the network. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to do a good job, but I'm dubious.

Yeah, Kamala doesn't need to do anything but show up for the already agreed upon and scheduled debate. If he doesn't show, then the stage will be all hers, and Trump won't like that. She doesn't need to go out of her way for the orange man who wants to change things up now.
    F*ck Trump.

It took awhile to find but I found a May article about the original agreement and it appears the two candidates agreed to debate each other with no mention of substitutes. There is no reason to honor anything else but I do think the two current candidates should agree to new debate terms.

It looks like the agreement mentions "the candidate". It doesn't mention Biden by name. Biden is not the candidate.

The former president’s campaign announced that it accepted an invitation to debate the current president on CNN on June 27 and on ABC on Sept. 10

You're entitled to your opinion. I just disagree. Trump's scared now that it's not Biden he can make senile jokes about. Now he's the old man in the room and he's scared to go on anything but Fox with his backup jesters cheering on his nasty attacks mixed in with lies. Like I said, Kamala doesn't need to debate him anyway if he doesn't want to show up. All he does is spew nonstop lies anyway. He's a broken record at this point. Same old doom and gloom, with a bit of racism and vulgarity.

That is the article's wordage, right?

That isn't the actual writing of the agreement. At that time those were the candidates.

Decent people don't want Hamas supporters like Cori Bush and Tim Walz.
