That alone also doesn’t get you banned. While moneyball was very embellished, there was a ton of old school types getting pissed on then, along with a team taking potential attention or money away from the Yankees, but no lifetime ban there. And nobody has followed suit or tried to push these extremes since, despite the Astros having success with it. There’s been requests and interest from other teams… only to soon realize he may not even want to be a GM or baseball operations head. (Theres other reports of this, but here’s a link from the past. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/11/latest-on-mets-front-office-targets.html
I've got it figured out, Manfred is crooked otherwise the Yankees/Red Sox, Dodgers etc... would've suffered the same fate and all of the team personnel would've been blacklisted. It looks to me that you're the one that seems to be struggling with what Manfred's ultimate goal was.
Go for it champ… if you believe in something enough for it to be completely true to you, that’s all that matters. Obviously MLB just shoved an innocent bystander aside for the glorification of their marquee franchises, and nobody on a legal level or media level see any issues with that, lol. MLB obviously has a black-listing agenda that gets turned over every year. So common place. So easy. Hell, you just got blacklisted!
Ironically more productive over the last month than Singleton/Chas/Loperfido/Meyers/Dubon/Cabbage combined (or just seems that way since he eviscerated the Astros).
Nope I blacklisted MLB. I no longer have tickets. I stand by what was in my post. You just disagree and probably had a problem with how Luhnow did business even before the cheating scandal. I dont, nor did I have an issue with the cheating because the teams they were trying to beat were doing the same things. It's not like the Stros were lone wolves when it came to cheating. Only difference between them and and the Stros is the Stros lost the best GM in MLB and it's not surprising that Luhnow is successful in his soccer investment. But hey I understand that people like yourself dont like successful win at all cost people. You do you and I'll do me, but nice attempt to try to make things personal. I LMAO at your puritan visions.
The funny thing is, you’re actually acknowledging that he broke written and unwritten rules warranting his ban… but you’re claiming it’s solely to protect marquee teams. Where you look idiotic is that saying “he didn’t do anything wrong… he just made other teams angry.” (That and saying you’ve blacklisted MLB, yet still actively following this team and these games). There are actually more marquee team bans in the history of baseball than there are Astros bans. MLB doesn’t care who the GM is GMing for… as long as they’re not egregiously creating the toxic culture that pushes the envelope on every issue possible (sign stealing, draft manipulating, service time manipulating, blackmail contract extension offers,
That's exactly what I'm saying and I'm also saying the teams we were competing against were doing the same things with no repercussions. Ever ask yourself why? Or you to myopic to see the truth? I think I'm going with the latter.
Or maybe, just maybe, Luhnow was doing a helluva lot more… for longer… and this was the incident that pushed things over the edge. Thats what has been leaked/rumored/and verified in here by the insiders.
Burden of proof goes to the crazy conspiracy theorists… but sure, we’ll find you the laundry list of Luhnow transgressions from one of the article/book excerpts. Or just search for when @Nook explained this to you previously.
