Lol. All the teams weren't hot garbage & we were depleted with injuries, so we could've lost against the lesser teams. Amen starting PF just confirms that. The difference is Amen was in the dunkers spot & the team played FASTER without Sengun & our defense magically got better lol. There is a reason Jalen's play improved

Our defense is better when Jalen doesn't play. The numbers don't show our defense got any better during any stretch. I can argue with Sengun out we had our worst defensive game of the season. Our Defensive rating was an atrocious 141 versus the warriors.

You never answered my question, what happened in the last 10 games of the season? Why was Jalen trash? Why were we not competitive at all versus any of the playoff teams we faced. We've hashed out the opponents of the 10 game win streak many times the fact you can't see how it was a majority tanking teams is beyond me. 2 legit teams, and one was missing their MVP..

Why do you guys argue with a twelve year old? Rocketchamp is just a child or is mentally ill. I only use the ignore buttons on racists and obvious trolls, but it is silly to even engage with children on message boards

One thing to note is neither Jock or Amen demanded touches and the offense did not flow through them the way it does Sengun. Amen played a lot in the short corner waiting for the dish off from the dribble drive. I am not in the business of declaring any player to be the best on the team but there is truth to your argument. There is also truth on the other side saying he shot poorly or didn’t play well the first half as he was more passive. The coaching staff changed a few things to facilitate Green’s offense. But there’s layers to this and context. This topic of whether Sengun’s inability to space the floor has hindered Green and the Rockets offense as a whole has been debated heavily before on this site.

He was there to start that, and would have won more if healthy. Against those teams, the expectation was to win.

That wasn’t in your original post.
He is a better ball handler and a slightly better 3 pt shooter. All other metrics favor Alp

Alp was a much better defender. Just say you don’t know ball and move on

The thing is the more you trash the opponents we played the more you are trashing the entire team besides Jalen without knowing it ironically due to something you don't know about the streak:

This was before his best statistical games against the Wizards and Thunder also.

So basically when Jalen Green rested during that stretch of 13-2 in March, the Rockets were a -6 per game in pt differential. He was the only player in the rotation where the team had a negative pt differential when they were resting. Basically the Rockets were one of the worst teams in the NBA just from Jalen Green resting during that stretch.

So you are essentially talking about how the entire rockets roster sucked ass when Jalen Green rested and Sengun was injured.

He played worse. The entire team played worse. Seemed like they took their foot of the pedal once they saw the play in was getting out of reach.

I'm sure Jalen being the only guy to start 82 games and for the first time in his career providing high levels of energy on both ends of the court probably drained his legs and he flamed out. Hopefully that year of conditioning under his belt will prevent him from falling out.

But why even move goal posts? I was specially addressing your claim so it the "weak opponents".

So are you acknowledging then the team around Jalen during the 13-2 stretch was incredibly incompetent if they had a -6 pt differential per game when Jalen wasn't on the court during such a easy stretch as you claim?

Pretty crazy, if jalen was a + 6 those 15 games and -4.7 overall for the season, what was he for the other 67 games? Like -7? Those are wild numbers

How am I moving the goal posts you post that same on off garbage in every thread. Didn't feel like I need to address that again. So it's just a pure coincidence that when we played good teams that he sucked? All of a sudden he just got tired? We had plenty to play for before we went on a 5 game losing streak so don't tell me they had nothing to play for.

Plus I don't even know how that stat is calculated or how they decided to cherry pick numbers. We blew out horrible teams that probably skewed his plus minus, cus if you break down his plus minus each game he was actually negative for 4 out of the first 5 games in March.

He can create his own shot, hit his free throws & also playmake better. Sengun's nowhere in the same stratosphere of Paolo

Illiteracy is a problem these days.
You have to learn to read statistics at some point

Alp has a better or same AST%, TS%, OWS, O and D Rating, VORP, BPM, Blocks, Steals, less turnovers.
Paolo is a slightly better Free throw shooter, a better 3pt shooter but not by much.

The hot stretch came to an end once we played the Mavs and got blown out. The Mavs used the exact same strategy against Jalen that they used against ant. Nobody else could step up to take full advantage in the middle of the floor much like the wolves couldn't. Other teams followed suit. Guess who shreds in that spot of the floor? If the rockets don't run a Jalen/sengun PR to death to start the season I'll be absolutely shocked. Jalen can make that pocket pass that Fred did over and over. They can use each other.

One bad game versus the Warriors? Other than that we generated more steals & fastbreak baskets. Our defense improved without Sengun

Welp, did you watch the last 10 games? The answer is easy. Jalen played so well, teams started doubling him at half court. The problem is guys weren't hitting shots. Teams dont double a guy at half court if he's trash.
