For a second on Monday, I thought the Astros were going to throw a perfect game with their bullpen game!
Yeah, but he was pinch hitting for a guy with a .593 OPS! Once again, Espada is playing the percentages.
Gotta love that Joe Espada once again not valuing a close late game by bringing in a pitcher who shouldn't be pitching in the major leagues. That dude is really something.
Really need Tucker back and need to add another bat some how. It looks like we have morphed into the TB Rays of hte past. Good pitching with mediocre hitting
Yep But the guy he was "hitting" for does have a track record of being a successful major league hitter, Cabbage doesn't. The guy he was "hitting" for was 6 for 20 since the break coming into today, even though he has only started 6 of 15 games Cabbage is 6 for his last 38, with 1 BB and 16K. So yea, shitty decision. The worse decision was not getting a bat at the deadline though. When two of the "bats" on your bench are A Diaz and Cabbage I understand it isn't easy But that's why i've said our only chance of lengthening the lineup would be fore Chas to get going, but Espada isn't going to give him the chance
Yordan has had down months/stretches throughout his career. Will be magnified more this year without Tucker, with Altuve striking out more (and nobody really getting on base in front of him), and Bregman in regression. It’s a down year for Yordan… but fully expect him to bounce back at some point (with his down years better than most people’s best years). Same can’t be said for the remainder of the lineup.
