Games I'm looking forward that should be here in the next 12 months:

    Ara: History Untold.
    Civilization VII
    Kingdom Come Deliverance II

There may be others, but those are the ones that come to mind now.

I'm not quite done with this game (maybe ~70% through), so maybe the ending completely sours me. But so far, I really *really* like this game. Like one of the best games in recent years for me. Though it is one of those "barely a game" type experiences, if you're not into those.

    Still on sale at Steam:

Think it is on Switch too, and I assume it plays well there.

I didn't even know about Ara, but it looks like just the type of game I'd like, so I just added it to my wishlist. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be like Humankind did. The other 2 are definitely on my play list.

Finally starting Pathfinder WOTR since all DLCs are available and bugs mostly ironed out, using Sohei monk. 10 hours in it's been fun, i particularly like the crusade battles. Periodically dipping in and out of Cyberpunk as well, 40 plus hours and still loads to do.

During Beryl power outage doing some analog gaming with the family by playing Heroqest board game.

This is actually looking solid on the switch.

Watched a full game walkthrough from theRadBrad (love that guy!) with him playing Reveil. The story in this game is incredible! The play is mostly linear...but the story, I can't stress this enough, is just fantastic.

It is about two-thirds horror...and one-third wild, dramatic tangent twist.

Looks great. This is one of the genres I enjoy, too.

I always loved this game one of the few I'd play through multiple times to get all the ace rankings and special planes. It went off the rails for a solid decade, but this new game is really good probably one of the best in the series -- the port to the switch is amazing even in handheld.

I beat Triangle Strategy on the switch after 30 ish hrs, but there are multiple endings and more characters to unlock. I normally watch vids for the rest but the game is pretty well done if you like FF Tactics and a decent choose your own adventure story line.

It's dialogue heavy so I usually skip through the static cutscenes then read it all at once in the logs.

I love these isometric tactical games but just don’t have the patience or interest for long, drawn-out stories anymore. The Last Spell on Steam is a good example of an isometric tactical game with a concatenated storyline.

I finally got the expansion card for the Xbox, all these new AAA games are taking 100-150+ gigs, between me and my son using game pass it was an endless cycle of uninstall / install every weekend.

I gave up trying to figure out how to play defense. I just do offense only.
