This one irks me. It's pointless to argue if your goal isn't to win? What happened to a logical. open minded discussion that ends in one side learning something?

I really feel like you have to draw a distinction between somebody who posts a ton like Fchowd vs Btg. Whether or not Fchowd is Misguided in his fandom is to be determined. The vast vast majority (if not all) Of his posts are based in his own Interpretation of stats and he is attempting to make an argument.

Certain Posters are just spamming threads with negativity and very rarely add value.

There are posters who are just insanely pro-Sengun And this does remind me a lot of the the Lin crazies.

I still browse the board but it is pretty trash right now.

There’s no better place to discuss Rockets basketball aside from with my son wherever we are. Helps when people remember that you don’t have to “win” an internet argument and that if you’re trying to do that yikes lol. I see that a lot in the Astros forum and super cringe. Also ok to be open to the idea that you (and mostly me!!) can be wrong and can learn something by just giving space to listen.

I didn’t vote because i usually assume the problem is me, and I didn’t see that as a choice. It’s my fault. Go Rockets!

It sounds like it's just a bunch of people whining that there are too many Green fans.

We're confident, we know what's coming. It's not like we're going to regret being too optimistic about one of our very own Houston Rockets. He's not a criminal or violent or a shitty teammate. There are no players on the roster who have been called hard working as often and as vociferously as Green has been called hard working by coaches, teammates and Stone. You're never going to regret believing in that guy even if he fails.

To a person who doesn't know what's coming, yes I'm sure it's not pleasant on your ego that there are a lot of people arguing back when you express your prediction.

I've been telling you Jim that your opinion is a minority opinion. Before this poll, you went and designed another poll to artificially validate yourself and I told you the results were not reliable. You tricked yourself into believing something. In this poll, you're tricking yourself again into believing something is Green-related despite long time posters repeatedly reporting it's always been this way in the summer. We've had hilariously toxic summers on here literally before Green was born.

Now you're mad that it still feels like there are way too many passionate Green fans. Just looks like you're throwing a bit of a tantrum because there are more passionate Green fans than you would like.
