My girlfriend lived not far from there. It was not really upscale, even in 1996. There were some pretty run-down motels across the street.

Anybody go to Ferrell’s at Almeda Mall back in the day? I used to love that place.

Used to go with my parents to meet my grandparents there for dinner at the Galleria. Great memories.

If you want to see a case study of “white flight,” follow the malls on 59.

if Frank Sharp could see his Sharpstown today lmao

I had not been to Greenspoint since the late '90s when I was a kid. I mostly went to Northwest Mall, Memorial or Willowbrook.

Northwest should have done the same thing. It's just been sitting there empty for years.

Outdoor malls (often called “outlets”) are kind of on the rise it seems, you aren’t in a enclosed space. More autonomy of movement, easier to get in and out and pick specific spots …I seen nice ones pop up recently
My question is anyone a fan of outdoor malls? Or is it not likely to replace indoor malls?

I prefer to park close enough to a store to walk in and not have to walk through 50 people waving perfume, bags, toys and other crap in my face before I get there.

There's a point where it's too much of a pain in the ass and I'll just buy online instead.
