I think that you found me with everything in alignment. Late 60's and through the 70's is my Home Base, but I will eventually venture outside of that period. After a while, I will be back to the Late 60's - 70's. Rashmon and Manny Ramirez are better than me on just about everything but Asian women doing Covers.
@Mango, I'm sure this was not your earlier intent when you mentioned a version of this band... But the first thing that popped into my brain was a movie (in Houston) and this song (@MadMax): Such a pretty, fun song. You'll have to explain to me the difference between "Faces" and "Small Faces" because I'm not sure anymore, and I'm not looking it up.
They changed personnel over the years and they were no longer Small (Short) so they just renamed the band. Small Faces Faces ********** Steve Marriott was the front man for the Small Faces. He left and formed Humble Pie. Sometimes with a moustache and sometimes without, but he had a distinctive voice that is hard to mistake for anybody else.
I remember Ian McLagan most of all. He played great shows in Austin (Continental, Saxon...) until he couldn't anymore. He was a really, really nice guy to talk to.
Humble Pie is "30 Days In The Hole" btw I never knew or cared that they had another song worth listening to. I will now search it out.
