I wouldnt mind watching a weekly Survivor Dragon series hosted by Jeff Probst. Half reality TV, half BBQ foodie entertainment.
They've been burning time hinting at another dragon at the Vale. Those scenes are almost an homage to Godzilla flicks at this point.
Terribad conclusion to the season. Really supported the idea that they have padded the story unnecessarily. They had an hour to sell the next season and what do we get? Mud wrestling and another clandestine meeting that accomplishes nothing. I feel cheated and I certainly think I (and most of us) could conduct the war on either side better than these bumbling, brooding fools.
I have been holding off on the show mainly based on season 8 of GoT I guess i want to wait until its over to get to it Feels like a good idea Rocket River
Season 1 was good. There was meaningful plot that moved. Maybe a bit too fast due to a time jump. Season 2 has been lots of filler. These 8 episodes could have been 4.
That is general consensus that I am seeing People are not happy - esp considering the next installment maybe 2 yrs away Rocket River
1st season was pretty good. could use much moar deaths (and secksss!) tho. but it didn't leave me wanting a 2nd season. haven't had an urge to watch.
it would have been a great 2nd to last episode, but that was a very unfulfilling season finale. we got nothing to keep us satiated for the next 18-24 months. at least last season ended with jayce being killed, but yesterdays ending was just set-up sequence after set-up sequence....no resolution or "holy s***" moment. season 3 better be a non-stop dong-hangin', action-packed, bloodbath to justify all this set-up. Spoiler did anyone else catch helena tell aemond that aegon will be king again and sit on a wooden throne? was she referring to the throne of driftmark? corlys needs an heir and aegon needs a throne. will larys arrange a meeting?
They wasted a lot of time on Dr Who. HBO is usually better at not cutting corners with the streaming format, but we got a lot of budget studio shots with inconsequential character lobotomies this season.
Apparently the season was cut from 10 to 8 episodes and HBO forced them to basically leave out a big battle that now will be in season 3. Glad I haven't even watched a single episode and seems like there's no need to. I will just wait until the 4 seasons are over and then see if it's worthy of my time.
Finally watched the finale last night. I'm not as down on season 2 as some. I actually enjoyed all of it that we got, but I agree that the finale should have been the episode setting up the finale. We should have been given the battle that they were clearly gearing up to all season. Felt like a cop out. I've enjoyed season 2 way more than season 1, which felt incredibly disjointed with the time jump and change in actors. I felt much more connected to characters this season than last. Spoiler I thought Helaena said that "he sits on a wooden throne", as in present day he is still king, but his throne is his bed, which is made of wood. But that he would be back. Or maybe it referred to something he would sit in in Essos wherever he and Larys end up. Question, who has Otto jailed? Also, the "about the episode" bit at the end when the showrunners talk they mentioned the "blue queen" was marching to support. Who is the blue queen? Corlys is really annoying. Just freaking declare Alyn as your heir already, douchebag. Who else is gonna be it?
