Exactly this. They HAVE to sign the guy at this point. What's the point in "fixing" someone you're just going to lose in a couple months anyway? It's baffling. I'm just gobsmacked by all of it. Brown looks really bad on this one so far.
Some are saying this is the worst trade in Astros history lmao .... It's just seems mind blowingly bad... like... how?
So did Collin McHugh... but we got him for NOTHING. Best case scenario... a Scott Kazmir-level trade.
Dana about to speak on SCHN. Which is kind of weird at 10:30 pm. Almost seems like Crane is making him get out there and speak on what he just did.
Jim Crane is not blameless, in fact he is the main reason for what the organization has become, a shell of themselves. Still competing because HOF talent is still on the roster but the philosophy change from Crane on down in this organization has had embarrassing results.
These are the prospect huggers. With this said, I dont like this deal and hope I'm pleasantly surprised.
It’s as simple as running a P&L. When you treat a sports team like a P&L, you’re going to fail and eventually players won’t sign here.
Ruined the Momentum, got another Hideo Nomo batting practice Pitcher that will be gone. Why not call somebody up or go through waivers and find some other Pitcher.
