The Astros shouldn't be trading any of their starting pitchers unless it's a clear-cut HUGE upgrade. This Bloss-Kikuchi trade, if confirmed, ain't nowhere near good enough. Might even be a downgrade. Do better, Dana and Crane.
Probably not but any chance Kiner Falefa is involved? Has LF experience and is hitting well this year. No idea how his defense in LF is. Also not a lefty bat but not sure if it matters. Mentioned it earlier but Kikuchi falls apart after the 4th or 5th. Hoping that knowing he was getting traded had him lose focus. Now that he knows he'll be in Houston the rest of the year, hopefully he cam focus on just pitching and help Houston with another WS title.
Exactly. Vlad Jr better be included if I'm trading Bloss for a rental that is struggling to be average.
If Tucker was not expected back we would be selling now instead of whatever the hell it is we are doing.
I already have people texting me and clowning the Astros for this deal. FWIW I think there is more to the deal.
I guess the rationale is they need another arm right now to eat innings and whatever Bloss potential is they don’t see him doing that the rest of this season? Kikuchi doesn’t have a ton of upside, but he is better right now. Seems like a steep price for a rental.
If there isn’t Dana brown should immediately have a director of baseball ops hired over his head and never be allowed within 100 miles of decision making at the deadline.
No. Because that’s a completely incompetent deal. Why don’t you go back to wishing Maldonado was starting 130 games for us while yainer rots on the bench you complete and utter clown?
How's the party? I'm just eating popcorn and watching everybody lose their mind over the evening. Have some faith in Crane.
