I will need to let out a hearty laugh that both the Yankees and Dodgers missed out on him. So in that vein, bless you Cubs.
Sorry if it's been mentioned already in this thread, but what do y'all think we could get for Chas McCormick? Maybe a team bets on his prior track record more than his down production this season.
If you're right and he's referring to Mountcastle, I wonder if Brown already knew at this point that Paredes was out of the picture. Maybe couldn't beat or didn't want to match a Morel plus 2 prospects so he moved on.
He does make sense. They need a third baseman, Paredes is under control for 3 years and Cubs plan to contend by then. Rays got someone to help right away, Morrel that has a lot of talent. They also got two strong prospects. Astros couldn’t realistically give anyone similar to Morrel. Trade seems fair.
Canha makes sense and can play the outfield and 1st. Problem is that the Dodgers and Yakees are just getting warmed up and have not made any real reals yet.
Probably are but Paredes has like what 3 more years of control. He's a legit player so probably took the opportunity to get a player like him now since no guarantee they can get someone like him in the off season??
We had a washed Yuli when we WON the World Series... just depends on how a team is constructed. We won't survive if we at least get one of our all star caliber players back.
Buyer beware on Crotchet. He's gonna limp into the end of the season as a starter. Better than 50% chance he doesn't make it to the finish line. I think his only value moving forward is as a high leverage reliever.
