There were no bangs during that WS due to crowd noise and Correa admitted that to Rosenthal and that the Dodgers were changing up signs constantly so they couldn’t steal anything. I guess Kershaw thinks they were using buzzers. They’ll continue to use this as an excuse but it’s not what happened…..
Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think the Astros cut him this season. Next year is a different story but I think he’s safe this year. Probably not as a regular starter but still coming off the bench. I also don’t see him getting traded, obviously.
this team is finding itself... thats whats up. all these dudes are too good to let this season be a speedbump... keep pushing up for the Dubons, Singletons, Meyers', Loperfidos -- all these guys are breakout players this year. *grateful they're making this team better...
Yes they are and if hey can add a solid SP 2-3 kind of guy and a bat they should be favorites to win another WS. Get this SP2-3 and JV back and pitching like Cy JV for 2-3 months they will be hard to beat. Hunter has turned into the real deal and Framber has been great lately. That's as good a 4 man rotation as any in the playoffs.
If we would've split the the opening series with the Yanks, we would be 1 game behind them. Don't ask me why I am still pissed about a series in April, but I am. Passing them in the standings would be super sweet.
CY JV is a tall gigantic ask. I'd be happy with 3.75 ERA Verlander, who averages 6 innings/game. Sadly though, I expect 4+ ERA and another injury before the season's end. But like you said, a #2/3 starter and another bat would solidify a WS run. Still patiently (not so patiently) waiting on Garcia's return... and Tucker's.
Astros have the *fewest* 1-run victories in MLB... yes, less than the CHI SOX and Rockies Astros -- 7-17 (wretched/heinous/pathetic) Chicago -- 8-22 (worst win%) Reds -- 9-19 Rangers -- 16-12 Rockies -- 17-14 (surprise, surprise) Mariners -- 19-15 (SIX consecutive losses)
