Biden’s speech was one of hope, honesty, inclusivity, and progress…a version of America that is better for all, not just some contrast that with the typical Trump and republican message: one of hate, fear, mockery, and lies…one of divisiveness…one where we go backwards and try to deny rights people fought and died for I look at the crowds for Kamala these past few days: people young and old…people from all walks of life coming together…minorities don’t need to be paid to be there…that is what America should be not a cult…not a worship of some deeply immoral man…not a place where Senators call for Civil War and the VP candidate writes in a book that people need to load their muskets to fight

I was tied up with other stuff last night so didn't get to see the whole speech until this morning. While it was a decent speech it showed again why Biden was in trouble with the election. He stumbled over a few words and if he hadn't ended his campaign a speech like this likely would've been heavily analyzed as a sign of dementia.

He looks like he lost some weight (probably due to COVID). He looks even older than two weeks ago. That was a powerful speech, probably one of his best. The delivery is a bit off, as you said, but the content is powerful. I think it will be one for the history books.
What's sad is how many people believed those 30,000 lies. Its like Trump reeled in the most gullible people in the country and poisoned their brains with lies over, and over, and over, and over, and over.
I'm sure this has probably come up, but from a procedural/legal standpoint, how is all of this being handled? Is Biden officially off the ticket and his name needs to be removed from the ballot? If that's problematic, can Biden simply no longer campaign and promise to resign the office to Kamala once the election is over? With Kamala choosing a new VP of her own? It's effectively 6 in one hand and a half dozen in the other, but I'm just curious how it is going to go down and if there are any legal challenges.
