    Cobra Kai

The good thing about Johnny Lawrence is that he still is stuck with 80's attitudes but also changing and coming to terms with culture as is now.

My in-laws watch a lot of CBS when they are glued to fox news (but they record fox news all day long. Seriously). They seem to especially like crime shows, like Blue Bloods, Magnum PI, McGyver and all the NCI spinoffs.

When they visit us they enjoyed The Crown and currently Anne with an E. Even with all the themes of diversity, equity, inclusion.

I kinda sympathize with your dad.

My wife watches nothing but medical dramas and those shows shoehorn in identity politics crap so hard.

Every episode is like "I'm a transgender black man and I want an abortion but my white nonbinary spouse won't approve". Yeah OK.

How about an iPad with some easy old people games like solitaire and crossword puzzles?

Boomer who hates his job, life, neighbors, car, wife, and kids?

    Sounds perfect.

there’s this new show on Twitter that conservatives were saying would be on the level of South Park or Family Guy

it’s lame AF and of course the pilot episode bombed, but this type of stuff will probably appeal to him

I’ not asking my 71-year-old father to watch a show on Twitter.

Side note - The Boys broke his heart, lol.

Luckily, he’s become addicted to Pickleball, which doesn't involve heavy drinking like golf, so he's doing well. He plays for 2+ hours a day with people much younger than him.

For a while, he was miserable to be around. His only hobbies were golf, which involved drinking and ranting about the libs with his friends, and conservative news.

I need to get my mom back out on the courts.

a big chunk of that demographic are more into shows like married with children, two and a half men, and big bang theory.
