Why stop at 4? We need the 5 pointer behind half court. I just wanna see Steph stand back there and launch it all game long.

Reed Sheppard would be an all star this year.

so if you want the same expected value as shooting 50% from a 2 pointer, you need to shoot only 25% from a 4-pointer lol. everyone will be shooting 4 pointers and you're gonna see A LOT of misses. free throws will be worth a lot less overall. intentional foul to give 2 free throws will be a lot more valuable lolol

Awesome! Can't wait to see how it looks.

No thanks for the NBA, but super fun for the PBA.

I believe the 4 point line will happen. It is a money maker.

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, even 1992 Mahmoud Abdul Rauf set the Deep Three Standard. Trae Young, Reed Sheppard and many more will continue the Deep Three Ball.

The game becomes a little gimmicky at this point. No different than one of those stupid celebrity games.

Best option is to just move the 3 point line back and make the court a little wider to accommodate it. The shot needs to be risk reward. It's almost a layup at this point for most players. The art of the game is being lost to analytics. Baseball has the same problem. The rules should force the elegance of the game.

LOL the PBA is a joke man. It's like WNBA in the US nobody watches it. The league is arrogant af and then they go out and get bodied by everyone in international competition. Adding 4 pt play is ridiculous when very few players in the league can even hit 3s above 35%.

The PBA teams are all corporate sponsored. Two hiuge corporstions own 3 teams each. So they keep a monopoly of the best.players.and championship trophies. The other teams are just like farm teams which they pluck picks and stars from. But manny pacquiaos basketball leaugue though just made up of college and local amateurs not picked.in the pba plus pba vets, they are gaining live audence and viewership because they are local city/province based. And the best pba players also are recruited by other asian and more popular and profitable bball lesagues like japan korea and taiwan. So the pba is desperate to experinent with this

i think they should make a "3.5 point line" about 5 feet away from the 3pt line. this means that just making a singular 3.5 point won't move the needle much, but making 2 could be a huge 7 point swing. something for teams to consider, risking clanking the shot or making 2 in a row for 7 points when down big. it would force defenses to spread all the way out and opening up the floor for drives and 1on1s.

for rox, we could plant commander shepard at the 3.5 and green at the 3, and turkish can hover at the paint. everyone's spread out.
