this dude is the king of idiot island. I think we are like #4 or 5 in all the power rankings i have seen for the season, but he has us 3rd in our division.. OK
I think this is the third time recently I've heard this self-important gasbag (who likes to hear himself talk) hijack his own take on the Texans and spend 75% of the time bashing Belichick and the Pats.
Never forget that Colin Coward once claimed that Craig Biggio shouldn't be a Hall of Famer because the only reason he got to 3,000 hits is because he played 20 years.
LOL, The Athletic is treating the Texans like royalty at #4 and divisional foes like utter trash. I see it sort of similarly. IMO, the only teams you can definitely rank ahead of the Texans are the Chiefs, 49ers and Lions. However, I would put the Colts higher than 18 and maybe the Jags higher than 21. I do have a hunch the wheels could fall off the Jags this year. I'm glad Trevor got his money, but he ain't the guy. It's been obvious to me since his 2nd year at Clemson. Some of the folks at Duuuval started turning on him last season and it might get ugly. I'm also not a believer in AR but Shane Steichen impresses me as guy who will maximize their talent. He's a keeper. Not much to say about the Titans. They might play spirited football the first part of the season but I doubt their energy lasts as the losses pile up. Hard to win with both a bad O-line and a very erratic QB.
The Ravens lost more players in free agency than any other team, including 3 starting O-linemen, Patrick Queen and Clowney. They also lost a great D-coordinator and two defensive assistants who are now coordinators. Last year was probably peak Ravens. Texans' roster has improved in several ways. The two games last season have no bearing on this season, especially the first one. The pecking order in the NFL constantly changes.
On the other hand, Baltimore's offense, in year two and with a full season of TE Andrews, should be improved.
