Despite the refs constant whistle blowing against the lakers when iverson has the ball the lakers were able to hold on to the win thanks to robert horry and his clutch shots.

As mush as i dislike the spurs, i would probably be rooting for them in these finals, the sixers remind me alot of the old pistons except they get away with alot more .

    I hate the Lakers.

But I was happy for Horry. If anyone could have won that game for LA, I wanted it to be Robert.

    Oh well...Sixers in 6. [IMG]

What? The reffing was lopsided alright, but not in the Sixers' favor. I won't make excuses, but the officiating was terrible.

    good zrb, i agree.

I just didn't want to be the first person to say it.

The officiating was wrong, but someone other than kobe or Shaq iced the game.

One thing - the game woulda been a whole lot different if the would have called Shaq for the shotclock violation. [IMG]

I would have to say these past two games will go into the top 10 worst officiated games I've ever seen.

The thing is, these have been badly done FOR BOTH TEAMS!!! It's been more in favor of the lakers, but it's as if the refs are just being told that they need to adhere to a gameplan, and they do so, botching calls everywhere.

They're calling phantom fouls, and then letting the REAL fouls go. Up until this point, I've been pleased with the officiating in the playoffs, but this has been an atrocity. I think it's obvious that the NBA wants LA to win (cha ching!), and the refs are helping that cause a bit.

I give the NBA finals refs an F

Man, I don't know about you guys, but I thought this game was reffed pretty evenly. It was a very physical game, and both sides were getting away with stuff, but I feel that is how playoff games should be called.

The fact that Shaq fouled out on that offensive foul should be enough to tell you the refs weren't trying to make calls in the Lakers favor.

If they hadn't made that call on Shaq, then it would have been all too obvious...

Hmmm... the NBA woudn't be stealing a page from WWF would they? Sports Entertainment all the way, I guess. Anyway, I think the refs are doing their job. Hey, both teams are getting away with fouls and also getting phantom calls. As long as everyone is getting screwd, I'm sure the refs are happy.
