The way the vets and staff rave about Lassiter reminds me of Coleridge immediately earning everyone's respect.
I'm all-in on the Lassiter bandwagon. Moving Pitre to nickel is fine but I really don't like the idea of starting Bullock at S right away.
Stroud recently called the offense a 5-headed monster (humbly not including himself). This is from Channel 2's Sports Sunday
Inject these training camp takeaways directly into my veins.. how the hell am I supposed to stay grounded and off the hype train with all this going on???
Very, very exciting to hear all the vets talk about how ready Lassiter looks already. Stingley and Lassiter could be very scary together.
it seems like Sting will cover his man all over the field and Lassiter can stay with his coverage on short & medium routes with safety assistance on deep routes.
why stay grounded? keep getting hyped. Texans are going to be unstoppable both sides of the ball. Offense with 2nd year CJ, 2nd year Slowik, and all those weapons Nick acquired like Mixon and an elite WR like Diggs, PLUS healthy Tank coming back to play with Nico and Schultz? Plus our o-line will be healthy. Defense we got 2nd year WAJ, 2nd year DeMeco, and we added elite pass rusher in Hunter and a promising rookie CB like Lassiter to go along with Stingley. This team has NO major weaknesses
Because, my mental health can’t take the disappointment, that was a rough few years, I’m just not sure I’m ready to be hurt again!! Jk, I am.
Not to jinx it or anything, but there is always the possibility of injuries to derail a season. But hopefully the truly important players stay on the field most of the season.
Would love this. Even if it was a one year deal. Not sure if Bullock is a starter this season or not with Pitre moving to Nickel but what better way to learn from someone like Simmons.
