The far right and Trumpsters will now claim the Biden was screwed and that Biden supporters should vote for Trump. They will play the subtle dog whistles of a minority and a woman being president. Who cares why Biden dropped or if it was noble or not. What ever the cost to stop Trump is key here - that man is seeking to replace democracy with a white supremacist America. They couldn't win elections fairly. not even with voter ID laws and repressing democratic votes. So they had to try to end democracy itself to keep power. That's what this election is about. Biden did the right thing. Now there's a chance to save this country from Trump.
