I think Shapiro make more sense if the polls show that winning Pennsylvannia requires him on the ticket. Otherwise I don't think he jumps the line. Though I do agree with your assessment of his youth and energy. Given the back room dealing that would be needed to appease many other players, the VP spot will be given to one of them first.

Are we even sure he knew of these tweets? This was clearly orchestrated. Remember, he was declared mentally unfit to stand trial. None of all the previous tweets actually came from him. Also, I think the pressure will now mount for him to step down, citing "health reasons", to give Kamala the bonus of the incumbent. The timing of the Soros tweet is odd.
An interesting post. Your last sentence jumped out at me. There is only one other debate scheduled, on September 10th, when President Biden and trump were to meet again. Obviously, Joe isn't going to be there. Will trump debate whoever ends up with the Democratic nomination? Right now, we don't know who that will be. Vice-President Harris has to be favored, but is not a sure thing, in my opinion. Neither is trump being there. My guess is that his ego won't let him pass it up, especially if it's Kamala Harris, a woman. trump treats women like second class citizens, always has, and I think Ms. Harris could take him to school in a debate, particularly if the format hasn't changed, in my opinion.
