Disney doesn't own the district anymore. They used to be able to appoint all the members of the board, the tax district was just an extension of Disney, that is gone along with all the special privilege's the district had. DeSantis had the law on his side and unlike everyone here was predicting, he won the war that's a freaking quote from your own link.

For starters, he won the overall war. The Disney-run district is no more. The DeSantis-run district rules.

 

Disney massively underpaid and neglected the services the district was supposed to be providing.

The board was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to replace the Reedy Creek Improvement District.

"Ever since then, it's been a completely different experience for us," Shirey said.

Shirey said under the contract, the starting pay for firefighters would increase to $65,000, and EMS starting pay would also go up, increasing from $40,000 to $54,000.

"We were having a major recruitment problem previously," Shirey said. "So we're very happy. Our daily firefighters staffing will go from a minimum of 32 firefighters to 44 by the end of this contract."

They'll have four extra ambulances and a staffed ladder truck.

Seems like creating a conspiracy about a lgbtq agenda creating more hatred towards lgbtq communities was well worth the fight.

The discussion is did DeSantis win his legal fight against Disney. He won and Florida is much better off and democratically run because of it. You are the one that went left field.
