Minus T-Mac and Juwan who do you think will turn out to be a great pickup by CD this year?

From your thread title I was going to hit you with a, "Is this a trick question". But since you're disallowing T-mac and Howard (why exempt Howard though), then we're down to Ward, Sura, Lue, Gaines, and possibly Bowen or Harris. If Sura didn't go down, I would have picked him. I can't see anyone else having a GREAT year, except maybe Harris if we land him. I don't know. I guess I'll go with Ward since GREAT for him would be to pass the ball, get out of the way, and can a couple of 3's.

Edit: Opps. I forgot about Mutombo. He'll be good too. Nothing spectacular, but solid none the less.

Mutombo will have a great year considering that he will be a backup C. I think he will put up good numbers for the amount of time he will play and play his role for the team perfectly

Lue will surprise most Rocket fans. This is *not* because he's a "star" or anything. But rather because he's smart, savvy, not affected by trash-talking. He's just has solid fundamentals. Yes, he's small. And he's not very good guarding larger PGs. But that's why we have the rest of the team for. Lue on a very good team is perfect. Lue on a weak team wont work.

Oh, and also think about how many times Lue will be open for those 20 foot jumpers (and 3 pointers). He better start practicing those shots now.

I'm hoping that Nachbar has a 6ppg/4rbs/2ast season. Give us something!

    Maurice Taylor ... yup!

He's not going to let Juwan just take over .. with a huge salary.. he's not gonna get clowned on by the league for not making much contribution with T-mac & Co. taking all the spotlight. He seems like he's ready to put in 100% this year after recovery from his injury.. im ready to see mo-tay play

I think Lue will have a good season. I think he is that guy that everyone will forget about. Meanwhile he'll be having a quite solid season. I think he'll contribute.

Minus TMac & Howard, none of the new players will have a great year individually. However Lue & Deke will be the best role players on the team.

Man I'm trying to respond but the "?" has me completely thrown off. Are you telling me that Bowen and Harris aren't signed yet so I shouldn't be mentioning them. But the "?" makes it seem like you're telling me that they are options. Or something like that.

Either way, I said "maybe Bowen or Harris" because we might sign them, and we might not. So I stick the maybe label on them.
