Well if ya aunt had balls......it would be uncle Sounds a lot like someone football career with Green as the decoy You go boy, I mean goat (kid)
Those metrics are based on how ggod/bad teams are If we are sticking to individual then go pull up rookie games of Kobe, he barely played and put up 7ppg Had he and T mac played Green minutes first two seasons, they would have scored more but would have been exposed as inefficient chuckers getting empty calorie points etc.....especially Kobe on hornets ... He would broken rookie record for fg attempts, he was cold blooded chucker
Completely false. Look at sengun, his metrics all improve vastly every season and last year all of those metrics i listed made sengun look great. Why? because he's a good player. Why do jalen's metrics look so bad? because he's been a bad player. It doesn't mean he's hopeless, but his trajectory is nowhere near kobe or tmac or sengun or any good player. Also, rookie kobe posted a TS that was 2% above league average while 3rd year jalen sat 7% below league average
Did I hit a nerve, you nerd, a big loser. I didn't even use any cuss words, why are you being sensitive and loser. Don't call yourself MadMax you fraud. MadMax a Poser on this board.
What’s the argument you’re making here? So you’re admitting this earliest to score 4000 pts flex you keep making for JG is moot, since a fair comparison would take the scoring inflation and usage or number of attempts into account? Or are you saying you’re gaslighting folks here on purpose to feel smart and almighty because folks here can’t refute it? Because I have news for you - you might be conflating people not bothering anymore to respond to this argument because the person at the other end of line doesn’t seem to be processing it with folks just not being as smart as you think you are. And yes, your tendency to resort to insults and irrelevant attacks pretty fast when most of the time it feels like you try hard to project a calm front is very telling.
You went way overboard here. It’s too much to expect people to understand that 0 and 100 has the same average as 49 and 51. Where do you think we are in the internal workplace message board of CERN?
Bingo - I think I’ve rarely if ever seen a player who makes things as difficult for himself as JG. I want to shake him and yell at him to just relax and be patient and stop forcing things.
To me going into his fourth year, 60-70% of his game is finished and developed. The remaining 30% is if he can be more consistent or efficient. Not a dream player at all.
Really absurd you continue to make posts like this acting objective when making fantasy statements like this. You know full well Kobe took just 6 shots in just 15 minutes, came off the bench and still had way better complimentary players around him. You know this. It's really insincere to state things like that when you KNOW exactly how to debunk it yourself. Kobe's only able to achieve that 2% because he's taking 6 shots a game. He would never dream of maintaining that efficiency at 18 shots. Kobe walked into the league into a winning culture led by the NBA coach of the year and star studded teammates as well as arguable the most dominant player in the NBA. That he couldn't muster up more than 7.6 points on 2% above league average efficiency should open your eyes to the fact that almost all teenagers who lack college/pro experience will lag in efficiency and then we went and put Green in Silas' hands on top of that. Not to mention the now shut down Ignite program. Kobe only took the step up in year 3. Green will do it in year 4 because ALL his development programs before Udoka were terrible. The stats and methodology you use would never predict those two things but this is a learning opportunity for you with stats. Green will teach you this coming season.
What many are saying is he doesn't deserve a max contract, and I agree with them. And as far as hate goes, those that have to make up fictional quotes in order to make their point are the REAL haters around here.
Steve Francis is an apt comp. They have different body type. But they both are super athletic but don't play very smart. Fast body, slow brain. Francis was also an inconsistent shooter.
What's pure fantasy is pretending to know something you or no one else can possibly know. There is no ambiguity in the phrase "will do it". It is a concise statement with no room for interpretation. This right here is the very definition of absurd. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/absurd : ridiculously unreasonable, unsound, or incongruous an absurd argument : extremely silly or ridiculous absurd humor
Francis would be entering his rookie year at Green's current age. Keep that in mind. Green was entering his second year in the NBA while at that same age Francis was playing juco basketball.
Jim I'm not going to discuss things with you in general because you tend to just disappear when you don't like the data usually in the 2nd or 3rd reply. I don't think you're genuine about these discussions even when compared to people who don't believe in Green. That part is very obviously a prediction. Also we're (with other poster) going at each other over a Kobe comparison. You just jumped in, intentionally and conveniently as always deleted the whole content of the discussion and just proceeded to call my prediction a fantasy. You have 0 interest in the core discussion. Fair game for you to attack me but weak game nonetheless. Happy you just learned what absurd means!
Dude @MadMax has been called MadMax LITERALLY since before you were born. He's one of the best posters on the forum. You need to chill out, call it sensitive if it makes you feel strong but Max is one of the good ones.
Your probably right that you and I shouldn't have lengthy discussions. While I wont accuse you of being disingenuous, more times than not I find your takes one sided and cherry picked. None the less, the coming season will prove much and should render debate on Jalen moot by the end of the season. His worth as a player, for the Rockets at least, will be fleshed out and certain. Hopefully, we can agree on one thing, that being, that the Rockets succeed as a team and flourish regardless of Jalen's play, good or bad as that may come to be.
