Nuggets championship odds now even lower than they already were no idea how teams with aspirations are adding Westbrook to the roster still to this day
They realize not replacing Bruce Brown cost them a chance to repeat and this is a move of desperation to get another rotation player. I don't believe the Nuggets window has closed, but next year may be it for them.
Brunson took 100M discount to keep the Villenova Knicks healthy and strong meanwhile Cp3 would rather get 13M on a 20 win team than sign for minimum on a contender. You can clearly see the difference in mentality between the 2 one cares about winning the other just cares about the money.
Westbrook is not a fan of cutting and sucks at shooting. Definitely is not a good fit with this roster.
WB took vet min to win a ring Cp3 took 13M in cash. Crazy the much maligned Westbrick turns out to have more heart than the glorified Point God.
What? Russell had not suitors man. He's taking the only money he is being offered at this stage of his career.
This is a win for all the Western Conference playoff teams if he's somehow in their playoff rotation...coming off his 34% true shooting against the Mavs.
How do you know? Did you know SAS wanted Cp3? How do you know some bum team wouldnt have paid him mid level? What we know is WB signed for the min to the Clippers while Cp3 took 13M to play for SAS who only won 20 games. Cp3 has more than 300M in career earning and just coming off a 25M contract but he STILL couldnt let that 13M go over actually improving his legacy and trying to win a ring. Winning is not important to him at all.
CP3 is done, way past his prime: if he rides the bench on a championship team does that really improve his legacy?
You know that russ had no suiters because he picked up his player option for the minimum. If he thought he could get a real contract he would have opted out 100 times outa 100
Yes cuz he gets a ring. ring > 13M esp for a dude with around 500M career earnings. Even if he didnt win a ring at least winning games would be better than losing games.
Clippers were contenders when he picked up his option. If he had no suitors how come Nuggets wanted him?
The nuggets weren’t even willing to trade for him on his player option, he had to get traded to utah and get waived for denver to take him because it makes him cheaper. Clips had to spend assets to dump him cause nobody would trade for his contract
Clippers dont have to spend assets he was making the minimum they can cut him if they didn't want him. They spent those assets so they could get Kris Dunn who is younger than WB. That's literally what the Jazz are doing, just cutting him.
They traded a 2030 2nd rounder in the deal. Russ took the absolute maximum money he could for this season, by picking up his player option. There was no scenario where he could have made more money this season
He is making 3.9M bro what the hell are you smoking. You think Clippers would value 3.9M over all those assets they gave away if they just wanted to dump WB?
Correct, how could russ make more this season? You think someone would have offered him above the minimum???
