TBH, all the leading VP choices are loyal dogs. I think Vance is who Trump really likes. Unapologetic, shameless, conspiracy-minded, photogenic, has extreme conviction, and holds the most extreme positions of all the VP choices.

I have the unique position of being around both extremely high IQ people and extremely low IQ people every day. A career's worth of observations and pattern recognition allows me to quickly identify who is smart and who is not. And by the way, being smart does not fully guarantee success or even effectiveness. It helps a lot though. Listen to Kamala and JD Vance talk for 5 minutes and you can tell by how they construct arguments, the words they use, the depth of their responses, their command of issues... and look at their career backgrounds and what obstacles they overcame... or in the case of Kamala, how she benefitted from her mentor Willie Brown's help and Biden's extremely narrow racial/gender profile requirement for the VP pick. JD Vance was hired by Peter Thiel -- one of the smartest people on earth... and overcame poverty and family drug issues in Appalachia to rise to prominence as a lawyer, venture capitalist, and successful author...before launching a successful political career.

I'm almost never wrong in my assessments.

 

I didn’t think Trump was going to pick Rubio. I don’t think he trusts Rubio and that Rubio would try to overshadow him.
