I like Orlando but I think they want more athleticism there. A rim runner. Dante has that but at the moment, Orlando is better.
I think the only to speed up N'Faly's progress is to make him work with Hakeem Olajuwon. Robinson can benefit from working with the Dream too.
I think whoever they get will just be a scrimmage partner and cheerleader for Jock, Adams and Sengun. But maybe they see a lot more potential in Dante than OR.
I like and root for Dante's potential. Right now, ORob is clearly more skilled and effective-- in fact, I would not be at all surprised to see him make the squad, and to see Stone trade Sengun/Jalen/Tate (FLAME SUIT DON'T FAIL ME NOW!) and go with Adams/Landale/ORob (especially if Adams looks healthy) (and only if the return makes it look smart) at the C position. Team would be better defensively, IMHO. Udoka surely likes the D, no? That last month of last season surely raised Landale's stock.
I would very probably call @WestendMassive my friend but this is a different mate from my college days. He was a punter for the Longhorns.
That would be the time I should remember. I was in college at that time and obsessed with college football. If nothing else I am sure I watched Texas playing on the tele a lot. That was my Mike D’Antoni days. Following Randy Moss and Chad Pennington at Marshall and famous Amos Zhereoue at WVU.
And punters……I still say one of the most amazing athletic feats I ever watched was a punter. Of course I say this to raise an eyebrow. Todd Sauerbrun at WVU in warmups would routinely kick it 80 yards in the air. What stood out to me was how high it went. It just soared so much higher than any other punter I ever witnessed in person. If it was a one time thing that’s one thing. It just seened he could do it whenever he wanted. He is the only punter I went out of my way to watch practice.
I know nothing about him. Just a summary of everything that been said about him in this thread. He sounds like a super hero, can’t believe he hasn’t played in the league already, if all is true. He won the Australian league championship with a late defensive stand followed by last moment three pointer. Then was named MVP.
I don't agree with that. N'Faly is talented. He needs to get healthier, so he can practice and get better.
For what though? Realistically right now he is 4rth center in the rotation. If I'm the Rockets I'm not sending him to get tutored with Hakeem.
You absolutely have low bbiq if you trade Sengun for anything other than an absolute superstar of which there are currently 4 in the league all of which are going nowhere anytime soon.
College player from US. Went to AUS where he actually could get some time. Worked very hard on his body to improve strength and athleticism. Busted his butt, worked very hard on his skill set and became not only a good player in AUS, which is a top tier non NBA league, but a real NBA potential player who has the upside of being an NBA rotation guy. Very smart, hustles, strong understanding of game and high leverage shooter. It’s possible he just isn’t quite good enough of an athlete and becomes a a Steve Novak type that fails in the NBA but is well worth a shot. Rockets scout Australia and New Zealand very well. Started under Morey and continues under Stone. Stone and his staff have proven to be strong talent evaluators. A very good risk/reward type signing coupled with the trade for AJ Griffin and drafting of Reed Sheppard.
McVeigh is the most excitable guy I've ever seen on a basketball court. Is amped up to 11/10 consistently. Loves a celebration, real energizer bunny, good team guy. Used to play for my local team. Has improved alot in recent years, will be entertaining to watch.
