He already got plenty of money from his dad. Money, I would assume, isn't a #1 priority for him. Maybe this kid will turn out deserving of that contract. If not, James has put his son in a pretty tough situation.

When he measured 6'1 he should have pullled out of the draft and found a school that would actually let him play PG because thats the only way he will stick as a NBA player.

Bro, Marc Gasol was MVP of the Spanish League before getting drafted in the second round. Thanasis was not as good, but he showed potential, and Giannis averaged 6 points in the NBA when Thanasis was drafted. Both were high-level international young players with production and deserved recognition in pro leagues.

On the other hand, Bronny did not produce much in high school or college and received recognition in high school that looks less and less deserved by the day. So far, it doesn't look like Bronny cares that much about being an NBA player beyond helping his father accomplish a goal. LeBron will probably outlast Bronny in the NBA.

Yep. It's out of respect for LeBron that they aren't honest about Bronny. Also, there's always a non-zero chance that he will develop into a legit NBA player. I think Senior will play more games in the NBA in his 40s than Junior will play in his career, but I could be wrong.

I’m also starting to feel bad for him…he’s just not an NBA player

he has only gotten this far because of his last name…from middle school, to high school, to college, and now, he has never been impressive

not once did he ever go off in a game in high school…not once

I know he was on a stacked high school team, but even as a Senior when he was supposed to now be that guy, he didn’t do sh*t

didn’t even go off in AAU either

    he just ain’t got it

Gasol got drafted in 2007 he won mvp in 2008. So Lakers knew he was gonna be good a year before he blew up?

I dont really care whether Bronny produces or not, just find it funny people are calling him a bum when he is literally a nepo baby. At least he made it this far what about Zaire Wade or MJ kids? MJ kids literally ended up being scrubs and working at Nike.

Gasol was already a good player before 2007. He was Mr. Basketball in Tennessee before going to play in Spain. He played significant minutes on the Spanish Olympic team in 2006 and helped the team win gold. He was already a good player in the Spanish League prior to his MVP season and made the Euro Cup All-Star team. Those are all things Bronny did not come close to doing...

And all things I just learned even though I knew Marc Gasol did not get drafted because of Pau because things like that are not normal. Good NBA players who had long and important careers do not just happen because they got undeserved roster spots. From what I remember, he slipped in the draft because there were weight concerns, not talent concerns.

So Bronny is not a bum because his father is LeBron? The current and former Presidents have some bumass kids. You could be a bum no matter how set your life is. For example, Bronny is an NBA bum relative to expectations. Expectations that are unfair and unreasonable, but we didn't put those expectations on him.

Gasol's weight concerns are talent concerns cmon man. Since when did people care about Shaq's weight? There was little to no foreign scouting back in the day nobody gave a crap about Marc Gasol's accomplishments in Spain, if they cared Gasol wouldnt be a second rounder since his accomplishments were actually significant (23 yr old Euroleague MVP).

Bronny is not a bum because he is working as a basketball player when he could have just been a trust fund baby. Maybe you need to look up what being a bum means. Despite the criticism on him you gotta admit he has been playing better than Sarr, people are just overly harsh and targetting him because he is Lebron's son. When the #2 pick can't buy a bucket people are still hating on the 50th pick or w/e for scoring 35% FG. Bronny is supposed to suck if he wasnt Lebron's son he'd have to go back to college. There's no need to extrapolate his entire career and say he will never be better than a YMCA player. We will have to see more but if you look at guys like Kuminga you'd know there are lots of scrubs who developed their skills over time.

Honestly this is the last reply from me on this I dont give a crap about Bronny I just dont like him being called a bum when he is anything but that.

Bro, these guys are about 5 years older than Bronny…
I don’t see any ex teammate who has become a good
    NBA player.
Bronny probably won’t play in any of europes top 5 leagues.

Took money and a spot away from dudes that spend their whole existence trying to make it. Lebron should really be ashamed of himself

there’s a reason MJ didn’t have his son drafted …who was a much better player

This, maybe it wouldn't have been the Lakers, but somewhere there is one less roster spot in the NBA. A roster spot that would have gone to somebody who desperately needs it. Instead it's being given to a player who isn't even talented enough to play in a top D-1 rotation.

There are nepo cases like Thanasis (which I hate almost just as much), and then there's whatever in the hell this is. He has absolutely no business in the NBA.
