Yeah - I agree on the conditioning. I have questioned the conditioning of some of these kids coming out of Kentucky before. You can also tell that Reed has to be in really good shape, because it is easy for him to get flabby.
Im not a fan of push shots, but if he has room he can put the ball in the hoop thats for sure. Great touch.
Have we ever seen that, that one of the all-time greats compares a rookie to himself, after two summer league games? Wow!
Price was a hell of a player in the early 90's. He would have been even better in todays game now that the league realizes how much value the 3 creates.
I didn't have much doubt that Reed could make the PG transition considering how good of a passer he was at Kentucky, but in the summer league he's absolutely showing out. He's been vocal with his teammates about positioning and is copying the moves of some of the greats. Carving out space by bumping with his body leading into a pull up midrange shot is like CP3. Yesterday he probed the lane against Sarr like Nash. Didn't hit the middy he took, but I was just more impressed that he was willing to weave in and out of the paint against a big like that. He looks extremely comfortable and as soon as help defenders come he either finds an open shooter or a cutter. Probably had at least 10 potential assists. He looked good running the PNR too, more times than I could count. I bet teams won't go under the screen on him ever, so I can envision him running it similar to FVV.
Yeah the vocal part is really a pleasant surprise to me. That’s what a true floor leader is supposed to be. This young man has a bright future.
I'm hoping that's a joke rather than you sacrificing all of your credibility over bias? Let's see, which one of the two has 30 games of over 30pts and 40% 3 point shooting percentage? Which one averaged 18% from 3? If you "genuinely" wonder that then I dunno what to tell you.
Nah, I'm gonna keep hitting them with facts tbh. Especially when they do things like tipping Cam as Jalen's replacement when the dude shot worse in the Summer league than AMEN THOMPSON shoots in the NBA. That's how bad his shooting has been across all 3 games, actually worse than a guy who averaged 18% from 3.
