He fell that far in the draft because his name is Cam. A cam gives an engine the shaft. When giving things the shaft you will probably drop out of lack of respect for giving the shaft. My reason is just as good as any other. Go ahead, argue with me about it!
Bad game for Cam, he got benched early for not hitting any shots.....was 0-4 in the first half....3 good shots that just didn't go and one ill advised drive.....better in 2nd half only took 3 but hit one three pointer...then to the bench for Bullock. Ime liked Bullock but I watched Ivey torch Reggie over and over not sure what Ime saw that I am missing. Anyway.....rough game but we won. I think Cam is still going to have to shoot well to get extended minutes. DD
Did he look good on defense tonight? Im genuinely asking, i missed that game, but am happy to see the run he got in a blowout. Idc so much about his ability to get a bucket, i care more about his body language and defense and asking specifically about that. I havent seen any flashes of him becoming a player close to Jaylen Brown. A bulldozer offensively sure, but not an elite 2 way player.
No he did not. It's still very obvious Cam's defensive instincts just aren't very good. Against the Hornets, he was trying and his activity level was high. The bottom line is if Cam continues being productive on the offensive end, he will remain a key member of the rotation. I want his defense to improve as much as anyone but that isn't what gets him playing time. He's kind of an "off rhythm" player who often shoots and scores well when the Rockets offense goes stale. In that sense, he reminds me of Lou Williams. His body language was great.
The boy has loads of talent; very young, very immature. I am still betting on what could be. He and Reed are like high schoolers. By early to mid twenties they could be rolling. Cam has a NBA body; Reed has an NBA brain.
He had a very obvious lapse on defense which led to an easy bucket and there might have been another one which was his fault but overall I thought he improved quite a fair bit. He was hustling
Best game of year for Cam, played hard on most plays couple of steals a great block and some CamLites!!!!!! Dunks 3s....oh my. DD
I think Cam has busted out of his shooting slump...he just needed a little confidence and a chance to play! When he's attacking the rim, I'm pretty sure the opposing team can only hope he misses, because nobody is staying in front of him with how quick, powerful, and explosive he is. Defensively...well he's probably the worst player in our rotation, but not for lack of trying, at least not tonight. I think it's an experience thing. I hope we can see more of Cam, and we can give him a little leeway when he makes a mistake or two. He's the youngest guy on our team!
