yeah, also on a couple of plays he used his butt to keep the defender off, a la vintage CP3. I did not expect that.

What worries me is he was asked in the post game interview what he's been working on this summer and he listed nothing but offensive moves. Then later said stone and the coaches wanted/want him to focus on passing/playmaking and they do not care about his scoring.

He also does a similar crab dribble that cp3 does and sneaks operating around the ft line.

Fred and Dillon were reportedly brought here to mentor and establish a culture as vets with winning experience who also play defense at a high level. This team is still very young and Reed still unproven. Fred has a club option next year anyway.

Dunno. Remains to be seen what changes he’s made. Still lackadaisical on defense and boxing out etc. Still not a good passer. Although I see a little more effort on that end. Just too much dribbling and wasted time similar to KPJ. Either see a crease and attack or rotate that ball.

Baking out here in California at 114 the last two weeks I sometimes let it slip my mind about the power outages and @Salvy fence. May you always have a back up power supply and two weeks of food, water, and memes on hand.

Q: Are two summer league games enough evidence to get rid of our best player and leader of the team?
    CF: Heck Yeah!

These guys are both 20 and their birthdays are just two weeks apart. (Sheppard is older LOL.)

They could be playing together for a very long time.

Aaaand.... Cam in his post-game interview admitted his shoes ripped and he had to swap them out in-game. Get this man some good shoes - preferrably ones that are detonation-proof!

More of a pro Jalen comment than an anti-Fred.

Fred isn’t best player on a champ level.

There is a tiny sliver of hope Jalen might still have another leap in him.

Side note, I finally know which Nate is which. Nate Williams has looked pretty good. Hinton less so.

Reminds me of the announcer in the other game who said Cam told him the only thing he's looking to do is shoot.

It's against amateur competition, but Shep put on display the ability to pull back left, and pull back right, to free up space and get his jumper off. That's a big deal for him at the next level given he has dead on balls accuracy. Would like to see him pull backwards with strength and control so he can defend possession off the dribble too. It looks like he can do a step back three as well, but yet to see it. We know he can catch and shoot. So far so good on getting off pure jumpers. It should translate against more athletic and taller guards, but yet to do that litmus test.

LOL, there were some posters who swore it was asurd that the Rockets claimed to have had Sheppard ahead of Sarr because Sarr was sooooo impressive.

He looks like a million other tall athletes that are otherwise unimpressive at the actual sport. Effort looked like s*** (which is the most concerning), and even in a Summer league game he didn't stand out from all of the other fringe NBA players.
