Don’t forget the Murray trade; they traded all those unprotected picks to the spurs for him

Honestly I'd still give it until the trade deadline with Jalen, but I'm definitely leaning toward that being the end of the line for his time with the Rockets if he hasn't shown out in a big way. I think my ideal trade would be to package him with Brooks for a young, tall starting-caliber SF like Franz Wagner, Keegan Murray, or Jaden McDaniels, with an eye toward a future Reed Sheppard/Amen Thompson backcourt and Cam & Tari as bench bruisers. But I doubt those teams are interested in trading those guys to us, unfortunately

I don’t care about the Summer League stat, problem was his attitude was same as Ben Simmon and Ayton combined from a rookie who didn’t want to be in the line up.

I believe in his upside. I think he can be a #2 type of player on a contender

If people insist on making the comp, then why not "Shep Curry" as a play on Chef Curry?

Personally, I'd rather not associate someone on our team with the guy who has tormented us for the better part of a decade, but maybe that's just me.

The comp is stupid. Their styles are nothing alike. Let Shep be his own man.

My bet is that he'll still have half-court issues against starters but still have his moments being a freight train in the open court or on backdoor plays. Hopefully I'm wrong about that, and he improves, but even Coach Jackson basically said they want him to be better in the half-court at finding his teammates and passing off on those drives.

I like Trae. You know it would be really Interesting to see what Rocket fans would think of him if he were a Rocket. If they complain about Jalen’s inefficiency Young shot .340 or less in 3pt% every other year and his 2pt% is less than .500 after 6 yrs in the league. Young’s 3% after 3 years is .342 Green is .337. His 2% after 3 yrs is about the same as Green. Lol

Really impressed with his poise. I saw similar traits in Amen. The control is good. The decision making good for the most part. Nice playmaking ability

Trae is leagues better at playmaking and drawing fouls. If Jalen had a .585 TS% and averaged 11 APG we'd be going bonkers for him.

If anything, I see much more Chris Paul in his game than Curry, who himself was a better Steve Nash. Reed in two games looks like he could be completely lethal from mid range.

Well he’s a pg. TS better prob because he’s a better FT shooter. But I find it fascinating.

Yeah rather flip FVV to create PT than Jalen. Having a veteran PG will be good, but if we can reduce that $ value to something more apporpriate for a back up.

Reed and Cam have great chemistry. They are going to have fun playing together the rest of their NBA careers in Houston. :)
