    Whatever.

It isn’t the end of the world.

Espada did a poor job with bullpen usage, but he also could rightfully point to Montero and ask when he is supposed to use him.

Astros were in on Harvey deal with Nats, but Royals royally over paid. We need someone and should be able to get that person - cost for other two Nats relievers should be less because they are rentals. Personally, I don’t even care if they are rentals at this point - need at least one other dependable arm in the pen. Not sure this whole Garcia back to rotation thing will work out and think we ultimately see Garcia in leverage spots in the pen in October.

M’s and Rangers will get hot at some point, so need to stop giving away series… ultimately, only 1 back though.

Brown talking to teams about some pretty good players- hopefully it happens and Astros improve from deadline moves.

    Is Kyle Tucker dead?

I really do hope they’re trying to acquire bullpen help and another bat.

The #1 overarching job of a manager is to put your employees in position to succeed.

At this point I'll believe an Astro is healthy when he's on an MLB field at first pitch...and then does it another 2 or so times in a row

1/2 more season and Montero is free to go, free him from robbing the Astros. Manager Jose should of rested Yordan and Altuve this game.

You might want to check that Montero contract again. Or maybe not.

Montero is here for one reason. To revenge pitch the Mariners into Oblivion.

Cheers to the Angels. Your drinks are on me.

Put Montero on waivers and see what happens. The blue jays did the same with Kevin Kiermaier. If some team wants him, they can have him.

They are looking for a hitter, pen arm and a rotation arm… all three are priorities. They would like to fill at least one of those three spots before the actual deadline. Bat and starting pitcher may come down to deadline, so Astros and a few other teams were trying to get it done ASAP. Royals made it happen but paid a lot.

Tucker kind of does things at his own pace and his own way. At this point he isn’t a 21 year old emotionless rookie that 65 year old coaches think isn’t expressive enough - he has earned the right to decide when he is back.

Tucker’s absence finally starting to show. What an amazing run, especially considering his injury and missed time.

Very disappointed in this last series but hopeful that our team responds and that Tucker comes back soon and ready to destroy the baseball.

Very ****ed up season so far. Quite a story developing. Would be the coolest thing ever if we snatched another WS title after that putrid start. I really hope Garcia makes it back and brings it. I think it’s obvious we are looking to trade an outfielder. But for what?

    All star break grades

offense- C+ too many left on base.
Pitching- B considering all the injuries and terrible umps killing us more than other teams.
    Defense- B-

we need to clutch up and everything will work out. I’ve had a few glasses of wine but this undoubtedly is the best damn review in the history of clutchfans.

Have a great night Astro fans!!

Stros are 8th in MLB OBP and 3rd in BA with runners on base.

Which of these is, in general, less taxing on an arm?......

    a) TWO appearances / 2 IP
    or
    b) ONE appearance / 2 IP

I never lost much faith. There was too much unsustainable bad luck happening in April. Astros aren't just some random good team, they are a dynasty and one of the greatest in MLB history.

    90 wins incoming

I sure hope so. I know there aren't a TON of sellers right now, but I hope we can snatch a few pieces. I wouldn't want to mortgage the farm for just one more year of contention, so it'll be interesting how this plays out.
