Sorry but that was it, maybe others can help if I am misleading. I thought VO was a fool then and still do. Victor (not taking $) & Wall (paid not to play) then Porter playing out of position AND #1 option are a big part of what we have now. Side note The mishandling of 3 first round picks within 24 months or less after choosing said players for zero return is still a head-scratcher. We cleared cap space for something that never happened.
I agree that the Josh Christopher, Usman Garuba, Ty Ty Washington & KJ Martin assets wasted were a bit disappointing (clearly mismanaged). Nonetheless they weren't going to resign everyone anyway. I'd rather it be those guys from the late 1st round than guys picked earlier or in the lottery. You have to break a few eggs to create an omelette. I'm happy with the current roster and the overall direction of the franchise.
FVV, Brooks and Green were signed for that. Not sure what your complaint is. We had WoW era prior that with Wall/Cousins/Oladipo being vets and then we had Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker for most of the year as well. EG was only traded last year so there was no year where the team didnt have a vet. CF was screaming for Gordon, Tucker and Tate to be traded now you are complaining we don't have vets lol wtf.
Are you stupid? PJ, oladipo, Cousins, Wall did not play with Sengun and Green. EG was the only vet with any playoff experience to lead and guide our young players and I’m not sure if EG was a great leader or teacher in that regard as he is known to be quiet and not vocal. Wall wasn’t even around the team much in 21-22 and sat out the whole year. For 2 years Sengun and Green had little to no guidance but instead played with KPJ figuring things out by themselves and it showed on the court. And Tate wasn’t a vet with winning experience as he was in his second year in 21-22. I also specifically said the first 2 years so you mentioning Brooks and FVV makes no sense. You need to know what you’re talking about before popping off some dumb shi+ with your condescending tone.
That is indeed a correct statement. It is also a correct statement that his average grade is lower than that. If you don't believe me, you can check this with any of your grade school math teachers.
Yeah, but that’s just now it works in this scenario. The reason why rotten tomatoes gives an average of rotten vs. fresh rather than a weighted average of the underlying scores is so that a few extremely negative reviews won’t have an outweighed impact on the average. This approach makes far more sense than what you’re advocating. It’s clear from the above that Stone’s medium grade by the board is about a B.
We don’t have to grade Stone as long as he has a plan and he knows what he needs to do, because there are highs and lows on the journey. I do think he has tendencies to hold on to players too long -> Eric Gordon. Most importantly, overall we are in a better place with him.
I gave him an A because I'm pretty much just grading him from Ime on. He was handed a flaming bag o' shite and has set us up for some interesting basketball for years to come. I would have given him a F+ before Ime but since Ime I think he's done great. I don't know how much fault he deserves for the Silas era or how much credit during the Ime era. But it feels like since Ime came here Tillman has moved out of the limelight, and Stone has done well with his coach.
Don't ever forget they like to rewrite history to suit their narratives. That's how Jalen Green "had the green light and control of the team day 1" in their reality, as opposed to the truth that for the first season most of the forum was complaining he was parked in the corner not allowed to be involved whilst KPJ and Wood stunk up the place. They're now trying to rewrite the WOW era as part of Jalen/Sengun's development as opposed to the year we tanked to GET Jalen and Sengun in the first place...it's crazy how much these guys rewrite their own memories to fit their confirmation bias...
2 yrs for 2 players is not the big deal you are making it out to be. Sengun turned into a fringe all star caliber big in his 3rd year so nah you are making a mountain out of a molehill. JG's issue has been his shooting his skills coach will help him shoot better not a vet. You are the one popping off about dumb **** tbh. Crying about crap that doesn't make any sense.
His average grade is dragged down by dumbasses who are totally clueless. These are the same guys who said Rox would be lucky to win 35 games last season but still gave Stone a bad grade despite the team overshooting that mark while 6 young prospects in just 3 yrs. Rox went from 0 to 0.500 in just 3 yrs. Outside of OKC they have done the best rebuild in recent memory. Spurs and Pistons are the teams who rebuilt around the same time as them look at them now.
