Yup - it is a massive problem in our society and one that culturally we could largely fix - but instead we are too concerned about bullshit. Young men bullied and the availability of guns is an issue.
he is right, trump is a threat to this country. and you relentlessly mocked paul pelosi when he was almost killed in his own home and you accused him of being gay so nobody is buying your false outrage here. and like you, trump also mocked paul and nancy pelosi after the attack. he also mocked the governor of michigan after the kidnapping plot against her was foiled. and when a democrat congressman john dingle passed away trump implied that he was burning in hell. and earlier this year after a school shooting in iowa trump told iowans to "get over it".
Since the debate, Democratic voters have been split on whether Biden should run, with support for him continuing to run dropping by the day. The majority now don't want him to run. I personally don't know a single Democratic voter who wants him to run. Do you? Moreover, if Biden is mentally and physically declined to where he no longer can be expected to be an effective President, he is duty-bound to drop out. And if the people who understand the rigors of the job and are close to him can clearly see that is the case, it is their responsibility to try to convince him to make that decision. All of this is true, regardless of the preferences of the voting public.
He’s going to take away the rights of illegal immigrants and reduce fentanyl woke people love fentanyl @CrixusTheUndefeatedGaul @Salvy
Ethics question: if a Presidential candidate feels confident they do not have the capacity to finish the term they are campaigning for, but instead runs anyway because he thinks he is the best candidate to win (again, knowing he will have to step down), is he ethically bound to drop out?
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-congress-staffer-jacqueline-marsaw-post.html Come on, let’s be real. This nasty piece of work with TDS speaks for a lot of you guys here.
Notice the proper reaction by the Democrat. The staffer was fired. When Trump mocked Paul Pelosi, he didn't lose any support from anyone. What a huge difference.
This is the same ahole that tried to deny President Trump his SS, not buying his bull that he fired his staffer out of grace but more like covering his sorry ass. Try harder!
CNN is reporting a local cop encountered the suspect on the roof but retreated when a gun was pointed at him, letting the suspect fire at Trump/crowd. If so does this cop have legal liability?
That's a good question. I don't think a candidate should run just on the basis that they believe they have the best shot of winning. They must have good cause to believe they will be an effective President in that term. Biden should have dropped out months ago or said from the outset that he would not run, and the people in his inner circle should have urged him to do so. The Democratic Party has failed its voters by not using the last 4 years to prepare for this moment and having a transition plan in place. Maybe if Harris demonstrated some aptitude as an executive, things would have been different. Now that it is clear for everyone to see that Biden is so far declined that he cannot be expected to be an effective President in a second 4 year term, in addition to him being a severe underdog in this race despite being an incumbent, he should drop out ASAP. While I'd agree that it should be his choice, I think the people who are closest to him (family and advisors) should urge him to withdraw. You might pose a second ethical question. If Biden stays in the race, and I am a Democratic voter, do I cast my vote for him, knowing that he has one foot in the grave, or not? In that case, yes I will check his name on my ballot, as a vote against a second Donald Trump administration, with the hope that he resigns early into his term and someone with a decent level of competence for the job replaces him.
So it was wrong to fire the staffer? So mocking someone who suffered from political violence is okay or isn't it? You haven't even spoken against Trump for mocking the much more seriously injured Paul Pelosi, yet, you seem upset that about this staffer mocking Trump. Create another user name and profile.
Honest question... Does it matter if it's a foreign official? And is this an antiquated law that Hitler enacted? I'm not being facetious. Legitimately curious. But also, cancel culture and all... Seems a bit like something the Repubs have been calling out against, but at the same time, something that is inching us closer to wanting to allow us to arrest political naysayers. (Project 2025 and all?)
Qualified immunity case, so it depends on the laws. The Uvalde police chief just got charged for being scared and not acting according to policy and law during the school massacre, right? But then the Florida police guy got charged and acquitted, right? So I guess it'll depend on a lot of specific factors. If a cop did see him, the time it takes to get that info is something to be looked at.
