I don't want to place too much emphasis on a summer league game but the gravity was eye opening, the shooting was legit, and most impressively he didn't just make the right reads, he placed the ball in the spots PGs are supposed to too. He IS going to make our offense better....still worried about how he fares defensively - it's not like the Lakers summer league team had players who could exploit his size on mismatches but dude clearly has some skills with those fast hands that will give him a shot against more careless ball handlers. FVV similarly is able to make plays like that so it's ironic that he will be mentoring Reed...can't wait for Sunday's game.
Reed will outplay his draft position. Clingan wasn't even the best center in the draft but he did have the best PR team by a large margin. He will never live up to the PR teams hype. We got the best player in this draft! Thank you Stone for doing the right thing!
