There is no way in hell you trade Alp for Randle. Alp is as good as Randle is now, if not better. Better defender, a lot younger and a way higher upside.
Rather than critique every aspect of my analogy of both players down to the detail, lets just agree that Sabonis is the better player at this point, correct? And if we can agree on that, how much or what aspects of Sabonis's game has he improved since he first entered into the league? Remember, he was already an accomplished passer, good around the basket, and a solid rebounder when he came into the league.
Sabonis averaged 20 ppg only once in his 8-year career. Sengun averaged 21 ppg in his 3rd season. I think Sengun is already a better scorer. Admittedly, Sabonis has better efficiency, mostly because he doesn't attempt difficult shots. Sabonis is an elite rebounder and Sengun hasn't reach that level.
Sabonis started to peak right around age 24-25 in my opinion--that's around the "normal" time for a player to max out their abilities. It's not the same for every player, of course. If he follows a comparable course of development, Sengun still probably has around 3 more years of improvement left in him.
nope again. towns is NOT a Udoka type player. the only way you consider trading sengun is for a player that is a clear and substantial upgrade on defense. not for a player that is offense minded.
I think Sengun will get better but to what degree? Will he be an MVP Candidate? All - NBA? Consensus All - Star? Boderline All-Star similar to Sabonis? Or an NBA -Starter. To me, his comp has always been and will always be, Sabonis.
Towns? The career choke artist who has never done anything in the playoffs? Thought you said you wanted to win lol
It's much more realistic to think Sengun will be somewhere halfway between Sabonis and Jokic, or Randle and Jokic. He is already more skilled offensively than Sabonis/Randle were around the same age, or even probably when they were a year or two older than him. It's true that it's not realistic to expect him to match Jokic's trajectory--becoming the MVP of the league is not a reasonable expectation for any player until they've at least ranked highly on an MVP race. But it's too pessimistic to think that he can never get better than he is now, which is already a roughly comparable talent level to Sabonis/Randle.
So what has randle done and booker done? That makes you think that team can stand up against the best teams?it's more common sense .. what has Fvv done without kawhi? That's a filler at best a play in team
Gotta keep senguin in my opinion. I think he is a decent 3 point away from being top 10 player. Sure you can say that about alot of players but he already has so much in his bag of tricks. I'm excited to see what he can do with some shooters around him
There is no NYK package that makes sense, at all. If they are hell bent on this, I’m disturbed. Use Adams for a year or three and get your rim runner down the road. Even if you want to trade Alpi, sign him to max and trade him later on. Sengun Smith Amen/Tari Cam Reed works really well as a core in 25/26-26/27 IMO
Let's ****ing goooo! Randle and picks for Sengun would be brillant piece of work. We basically wouldn't have to wait till the end of the season to know that we aren't making the playoffs. We all would give up our hopes 3 games in stop wasting our time watching the shitshow, pick up hobbies and actually be good at something.
Dont want to trade him but continue to think about deals I’d accept. Alperen+Jalen Green+Dillon Brooks+Worse of the 2 picks in 2029+Landale+Tate for Bam Adebayo+Tyler Herro+Nikola Jovic. Adebayo/Adams Smith/Jovic Amen/Eason Herro/Cam FVV/Shepp or Amen
Bam is on a bad contract and sucks on offense, not a good fit. If you trade alpi it had to be for someone who truly matters
