If the polls were good Biden would cite the hell out of them. Since they’re bad, they’re wrong or irrelevant. Of course. The polls overestimated Bidens support in 2020. The polls underestimate Trump twice. If that trend is continuing, like it’s reasonable to believe it is… thats real bad for Biden/the Democratic party.

Trump could never hold an hour-long press conference and give thoughtful, comprehensive answers to questions on foreign policy like Biden just did. Trump is a fat, dumb slob that doesn’t care about foreign policy other than how decisions made can benefit him personally/financially. But Biden sounds like (and has the energy of) an “elder statesman.” I can see him sitting at the table on Meet the Press debating Lawrence Eagleburger. Tim Russert moderating. The halcyon days of political talk shows. Biden doesn’t have the energy of a presidential candidate. Especially for potential Democratic voters that typically want someone relatively young or at least someone with vibrancy. Someone moving forward.
