I realized last night that Podz and TJD from GSW joined up with their Summer League team after participating in the Team USA Select stuff. So now I'm bothered that Amen is too lazy, arrogant, and afraid to play in the Summer League with the Rockets. OK, I'm off the Amen bandwagon now. (yes that's sarcasm, though now I don't feel bad for initially thinking that maybe Amen could have done both)
Well, maybe Amen needs to work on his shooting in the gym more than playing glorified pickup games in the SL.
Who cares about what's best for Amen's personal development as a basketball player? This is about my own personal entertainment, and I need my Reed & Amen reps ASAP!
Amen has had 3 months to work in the gym on his skills. Might be helpful for him to test and gauge his progress by playing PG in 2-3 semi-organized SL games and several practice sessions that are geared for him (along with Cam and Reed). I suppose it could be argued the sessions vs. Team USA offered enough of this.
Amen is already a beast in 5 on 5 games. We need pure shooting mechanics and reps until October. Lock the guy in the gym please.
Man I just hope Reed shows out, that's all I want from SL. I don't give a **** if we win or if we get blown the **** out, I just want to see Reed hit a whole bunch of threes, maybe a couple dunks here and there. That's the excitement I need to keep me going til preseason tbh.
