Holland was a bit too passive, I felt. Kind of crazy that England is in the final...terrible coach, they weren't performing well for most of the tournament...but here we are. Can't believe De Ligt didn't play a minute. Pretty sure he would have defended that last goal better.
Will be an interesting final. If England play with the complacency that has plagued much of their tournament they will get beat. Looking forward to it.
Yeah we were much to passive. I really do not like how Koeman made us play. All his substitutions were with a defensive mindset. And even with playing so passive we gave away a lot of big chances. What you say about England could have also been said for the Netherlands if we won the game. I think the Netherlands played 1 good game, and in 2 other games we has about 10 minutes of good football (Turkey and Poland). For the rest we were mostly lucky. Even if we would have won the final it never felt like we were the best team of the tournament. That being said I would have been very happy with the championship, there have been to many tournaments were I felt like we were the best of the tournament and we didn't win. I also would gave preferred de Ligt. But I think de Vrij played a good game, and the goal wasn't his fault. We have 3 very good players on the same position with Van dijk, de Ligt and de Vrij. So choices have to be made. I will be rooting for Spain in the finals, I hate seeing the team that beat us win the championship. IMHO Spain has been the best team this tournament by far, and I hate to see passive teams like England be rewarded with the championship.
Terrible news for football if England's style suceeded. Pretty much a joke that they're in the final.
As a Dutch person I am happy we are out, that was a pathetic showing and basically the whole tournament we've played like ass. It was sad to see AGAIN us not able to bring the energy, the tenacity, the aggressive and competitive spirit to intercept and go after the ball. Forget the awful offense and lack of creative talent as well as Koeman's lack of cojones coaching style and incompetence in terms of strategy and consequent substitutions. This was lost purely on the defensive side of the ball. Spain has shown the most amazing and pure football I've seen in quite some time so Holland would've gotten embarrassed. Glad it's England who can get that ass whooping by a good 2-3 goal margin if Spain plays up to their level. This tournament in general is a serious letdown though, where's the quality from Holland, Germany, Italy and even some other countries gone? Only France showed some of it aside from Spain. They need to reduce the amount of countries at the tournament and then drop the 3-a days in the beginning, leave more time between games in the beginning to make up for the amount of games lost.
For the majority of the tourney, I agree. I thought for sure France and England were going to make it to the final playing some of the most uninspiring football...but Spain played very well and England were actually on the front foot yesterday. They will have to play like that on Sunday if they want to beat Spain. Going to be a great final.

Spain was the best team all tournament long. First team to win 7 games and perfect 7-0. England could have fluked it but Spain deserved it. Also played a way harder schedule
