He is also STILL 11th best in bWAR among position players in Astros history just 0.4 behind Morgan.

Bill Doran would spit on your bWAR and hit a double then turn a game saving double play

    Come on man

All Houston second basemen, including Bill Doran, wear a world series championship ring, except for Biggio.

    All of them?

Even Rob Andrews and Joe Pittman?

And out of personal interest how did Doran get his?

Technically, he does have a ring... and it was not the plastic one from the give-away nights.

I assume Biggio got one as an assistant to Crane? A member of the round table?

Doran was a member of the Cinderella Reds in 1990. He was on the injured list during the playoffs and WS.

To me that was the most improbable WS outcome ever. That they won the WS against the HEAVILY favored A’s…ok it’s baseball. But they SWEPT! That was just wild to me. Closest to that was the 2006 Cardinals and not far away is (sadly) the 2019 Nationals. 2023 Rangers starting to look hella sus too :)

    Caminiti, Jeter, Biggio, Bagwell, IF

    Finley/Lofton/Whoever

    Ausmus.

    It's the most ludicrous thing.

I'm over it, mostly, maybe, but it's one of those eternal whatta/coulda/shoulda/f**ka/what kind of things

    Kile/Hampton/Reynolds/???

    Wagner in the pen....fuuuuuuck

I hate Jim Leyritz, so, so much

    I'll allow it.

Do you remember the Montreal throwdown?

    Juden? Cangelosi? Terry Collins?
